A-Rod/A-Roid?

Should the Yankees just cut A-Rod and eat the balance of the contract?

He really has become a major embarrassment. Given his charisma free personality coupled with a vast decline in production, is he worth keeping around?

Release him.

He isn't worth the contract, he's no longer at that level, he's been framed of drugs for awhile now -- so its all going to come out finally that he's a cheat.

I don't see Arod going anywhere.

MLB won't step up and that contract is too sweet - too long.

I personally met him when he was still in high school. Honestly, he would have been a great player without needing to succumb to drugs but on a personal level I left with the impression that he was not a very bright person. The interviews he gives testifies to that in my opinion.

I've never been a big fan of A-Rod. But he has admitted that he took the steroids in the past and it is coming out that he did it again. I hope they can find a way to get rid of him. They sat him in some critical games this past post season, which says a lot about his future with the Yankees. At this point, I think his only contribution would have to be as a DH somewhere.

Personally, I hope he's bounced out of the league.

Life's too short to be unhappy!

Thought with his operations, he was doubtful next year at any rate.

Agree, listening to him in interviews, doubt he lecturing at Yale when his playing career is over.

Being a Red Sox season ticket holder I'm enjoying the drama and glad Kevin Youkilis can cash in for a year while Arod sits; well deserved and should be entertaining to have Kevin in fenway wearing pinstripes (painful as a fan).
