Cutter- They are probably on the Mustang forums. Always thought Mustangs looked great in a rear view mirror, but I got my first Corvette (61) in 1967, so am a bit prejudiced.

Power and sound very addictive, but the build quality and interior was horrible. Remember that's IMHO. Maybe the newer generation has gotten better.

And the steering wheel was so huge, not defitting a sports coupe. Thought I was driving a bus

I like super snakes, but would rather have a KR.

Do you have of the Shelby?

Ernie- One mean looking Mustang.

Why a 67 Shelby rather than a 65 or 66? Those were the real classic years. Loved the extra window on the 66s. The 65s did a job on the small block Corvettes in B production when they were introduced.

Ed- My father and I used to make pilgramages to the old Shelby-American facility on Aviation Blvd in 1964 and 1965. Saw some of the early GT-350s including the R model, plus a bunch of Cobras. The good old days. Dad had a 61 Corvette and since we were obviously car guys, they treated us pretty well.

The street GT-350s, with 306 hp and weighing about 2800 lbs, were very quick. More than a match for the 375 hp Corvettes on the street and the R model with 360 hp was quicker on the track.
