Fire Extinguisher Recommendation

I think this is the best fire extinguisher to keep in the car.

It is smaller and more effective than a 2.5 lb dry chemical extinguisher. Dry chemical is great for putting out fuel (class B) fires, but it is messy and the by-product is corrosive. You will spend as much, if not more, repairing damage from the dry chemical as from the fire. This stuff here, you wash it off with a hose.

Some people like CO2 because it leaves no residue and causes no damage to components. The reason I don't like CO2 is because all it does is displace the oxygen to put the fire out. fine for inside the garage (I have CO2 extinguishers in my garage) but if you are outside, the wind will blow the CO2 away and if you still have heat and fuel the fire will re-ignite.

The FireAde puts out the fire by separating the fuel from the oxygen (breaking the chain reaction) and also by cooling the metal surfaces. Cooling is the best way to put out a fire and have it stay out.
