C7 Corvette

The Stingray returns: Chevy unveils C7 Corvette - Business on NBCNews.com

Should be an interesting launch. If GM can get the interior right and improve from the cheezy plastic look & feel it might stand a chance of comparison with some of the other cars noted in the article. Thoughts?

The C7 looks wonderful and for the price it's an incredible ride.

Yes it can and does compete - mods are easily available to take it to whatever level an owner wants and it won't break the bank.

I could easily see myself pulling the trigger when the new ZR1 at 600 hp arrives.

the pictures show a very new treatment unseen on any vette prior...a window after the b-pillar.

the pictures look quite nice i think. not sure if i like it more than the c6 but i think the c6 zo6 was a clean looking car design-wise and certainly a strong runner.

It's a great year for American top-end muscle.
Personally loving the new iterations of the Corvette and Viper icons. Performance, emotion, and a door into their vast at varied subcultures at a great entry point.

I wouldn't complain if Ford jumped in above the fray with a new third series GT.
A rebirth of a limited run GT every decade? Yes, please.

I really like the new C7 exterior. Seems way more purposeful and muscular. I had a C6 vette before and never was a big fan of its exterior

Can't wait to read reviews for the C7

Maserati GranTurismo MC - Giallo yellow
Porsche 911 GT3 RS - black with orange accents - wife's car
F355 Berlinetta - Giallo Modena, 6-speed manual, carbon sport seats -recently traded in

Overall shape looks good. Details are kind of busy, but people grumped about the early C6 having few details, so I guess they fixed that. Hope the chrome bar in the middle of the grille is optional. All the glass is nice.

Tail-lights definitely do look Camaroish.

Looks like wheels are available in a variety of finishes, just like in the past. Wheels that I do not like on the Alonso 599 look great on the C7.

Yept - which makes me love it

As a Camaro owner I am sure to be in the minority.

I think it was to show the old Vette owners their Vette now looks dated - smart marketing!

Or the rear end has similarities to that of the C6 that the Camaro gladly adopted. I'm going to the Boston car show this weekend and will share some comments and photos if it's there. A cosmetic feature that really works IMO is the stingray behind the front wheels, well designed and placed. Earlier designs had it larger and in other locations.

Ι definately dislike the rear, i also dont like these angles over the curves. I consider C6 as the 2nd most beautiful Corvette ever. Some say that it is a copy of the new FF at front. Im not sure about that but Corvettes have indeed copied Ferraris in the past

As a former Corvette owner, I do like the front end. I personally think that GM has always done a great job designing the front of the car, but when it comes to the rear end, the designers seem lost. I do not like the rear/taillights. If I want a Camaro, I'll buy one. I don't see the harm in keeping round taillights. I was not a fan of the square ones on my ZR-1, but it didn't keep me from buying it.

Life's too short to be unhappy!

C7 reconfigurable gauge cluster

Cool video of the interior gauge cluster. Reminds me like the Lexus LFA where the gauge was electromagnetic and configurable

Really like the gauge cluster!

The C7 in a perfect color if this was available in a ZR1... boy oh boy would I be tempted to order.

On the other hand

With the gaps between the rear spoiler and the body just to mention ONE example, I say take it back to the drawing board and for ONCE do it proper. No I don't like it, it's as crap as the previous ones.
