HRT is out for 2013 (F1)

So HRT is not part of the 2013 grid in F1. No surprise there.

Given that the USGP was such a success and there looks to be another race here soon (fingers crossed) this seems like the perfect time for the USF1 "team" to hover in and purchase HRT.

Get an American team with at least one American driver, put enough money into be at least clawing at the midrunners, and watch F1 make some progress cracking the US market. Please!

I will still be a huge Alonso fan, but it would be nice to have a "home team" to root for as well.

Why buy a non-competitive team?

I would assume they have assets/processes/etc that could be of use to a USF1 team, so it wouldn't be a ground-up restart like the previous USF1. Take something that already exists and improve it...has to be cheaper than starting from scratch.

Good point, but improving/developing those HRTs...dunno if it would be cheaper. That construction should be very modificated or remodelled to have a really competitive car. Otherwise if someone wants a good team with a good car, fighting in and for the championship, there won't be the chance to think about, "what would be the cheapest option to save x amount of money". At least, a team which scored zero points in this season, isn't the best start.

Yeah...I guess I just want to see F1 gain some traction here in the USA.
