Insane peg grinding Isle of Man ZL1000 Ride
Gentlemen, today, I have one for the record books..I rode the 1000, faster, and on the very ragged edge than ever before, I found myself accellerating through the gears off the line to 120 MPH !! ,Riding this 25 year old power cruiser, beyond the absolute limits of its tires and suspension, can only be done, by someone, with big balls, and absolute confidence in his ability. Im getting so ballsy, that Im passing cars around corners 5 and 6 at a time, sometimes crossing right over the double yellows, not caring at all whats coming in the other direction, forcing drivers to pull to their right, and make room for me ....Going over Portugeese Bend. I was able to set myself up,to launch over the two sharp blind loop-dee-doo hills -jumps , blowing by two slow john deeres , like they were standing still. I came off the first jump at about 75 MPH, front wheel wobbling in the air just like you see on the Isle Of Man !!!.,right in front of an LA County sherriff , who already had someone pulled over, he looked at me with absolute surprise and dismay, I said ****kk it, and kept going, passing another car, and setting up for the second jump. Let me tell you, I floated a wobbling front tire a foot and half off the ground as I wheelied this sick machine over the jump. I was so stoked,,I yelled with absolute excitement and amazement, right over the RUSH that was playing on my IPOD to nearly fainting lol...Now if thats not enough, I did three insane, off the line ,tail sliding , across major lighted intersection , tire smoking burnouts, that you just had to see to believe !!!. This new Barnett Clutch, has easily overcome the grip of the rear Shinko tire. Each intersection, was packed with your normal jerkoffs sitting in their cars at the lights.Im not a pro, but I can ride like I was posessed by the devil himself...

"beyond the absolute limits of its tires and suspension". pretty sure this is the definition of a crash. are you sure you weren't just "on the limit"?

hey Ed

you can still go beyond the grip of the tires, as well as what the suspension can do, and still keep keep from crashing , when the bike is out of control, I think, thats beyond the limit, then you can bring the bike back to within its limits, I think at the limit, means still within what the bike can do. Anyways, thanks for your reply, hope your 328 is doing well, after your recent service,,happy Sunday

What's the over under on the "RIP Lucca Brazzi" thread?

I really hope you stay safe buddy. You're better off on a track. You might be a great rider, but there are too many in beige camrys out there to do this stuff on the roads.

I have always liked the Kawasaki Eliminator. Beautiful bike and you are able to ride it at its limits. Great post. I could feel your excitement as I was reading it! Stay safe.

Have any of you seen "Closer to the Edge"? What a movie that is! Balanced between a movie and a documentary, I bought it on iTunes to try and better understand these guys that ride the Isle of Man TT. I came away completely mesmerised but understanding them even less.

A must see even if you're not a biker (which I'm not, BTW).

BTW, watched the 2012 Ulster TT last weekend, featuring the same guy(s) as the movie. That was awesome too!

Great movie/documentary. If we ever manage to organise a FLED Ireland, we could take in one of the famous Irish motorbike road races.

Say the word Onno, and we can make it happen. Only a matter of picking the dates. I'll find the good ditches to lie in, and then you'll see some of the craziest men ever to walk the planet pass you by at up to 300 kmh....

So you were doing this in traffic? If you hurt someone or their child, everyone will pay a heavy price.

I don't think FerrariLife needs someone bragging about reckless driving and endangering the safety of others. Lucca Brazzi, you have shown that you have no respect or care for the safety of others on the road and you think this is something to boast about? You are one of those people that give riders a bad name. I deleted my thoughts earlier but now I think this needs to be dealt with. To be clear, I don't care about the speeding if it is kept to the freeway and done when traffic is light enough to not pose an immediate threat to everyone else on the road. THIS does not fit that category.

If I was the admin of FL, I'd have banned you on the spot for such a blatant disregard of other people's safety while on the road and then boasting about said illegal and immoral activity. There's having fun and then there is shear luck that you didn't kill anyone. We don't need this kind of behavior bragged about on the forum. If there isn't a moral conduct policy on FL, there needs to be.

i find the post to be over the top. i also think it shows a little too much bravado. I DON'T think it is cause for bans or moderation. I think people that disagree with this type of behavior should respectfully state their case, as was done here. I am not a fan of hiding things you don't like. I am a big fan of using sunshine to disinfect. I think people should be free to discuss their behavior as long as they are not intentionally trying to start something. I also believe the community should weigh in with their thoughts and let it be known what they do and do not like. i personally lose respect for luca when i read this kind of thing. I imagine his intent was the opposite. It is more informational for him to post this kind of thing and for people to respond than to just never know. Carry on!
