Yahoo now a Google alternative?

So last month Yahoo finally finished its own search bot and no longer uses Google for its searches:

search.yahoo.com

In recent months I have grown to find Google's results becoming poorer and poorer. Anyone else experience this? Now it is time to give Yahoo a try. Of course Microsoft wants to control your computer so look for an integrated search in the next Windows which will use their own search bot to try and control this market too.

After the first few pages of google serches, everything else seems to be useless. Sometimes have to go look stuff up for homework and the like and it seems that you can't get much of anything after the first few pages.

Thanks for the heads up.

No problem. Another one is http://www.teoma.com/ but is doomed to fail as they want money to be listed (yeah right!). I think the coming months Yahoo will become stronger. Google does have a very solid name and is very well respected by just about ALL. But I'm not alone when I say that Google is becoming a little too confident and Yahoo will do them good (lots of developers I talk to feel this way). Among all this geek talk the other thing is Yahoo is much more personal with users than Google (free email, personals etc) and are in a very good position to track a user's seach habits are gear search results to the individual user, something Google cannot.

Money to be listed for a search...ehh, that does sound kind of off. I wouldn't go for it either.

Hmm, no, haven't tried that one, Stradale.
