Driveway Buzzer

OK, so I've got a driveway buzzer. A motion sensor that is supposed to buzz when a car enters the driveway. Well, evidently the sensor is not powerful enough to detect a car from 20 feet away. It doesn't work well in that "car detection" respect. A dump truck won't set it off. What it is powerful enough for though is detecting the bird that made a nest in the tree I've got the sensor mounted on. I'm alerted everytime that bird comes and goes. I now know that birds are quite busy in the afternoon.

If it is a PIR type detector like most motion sensors you can aim it lower by mounting it at an downward angle or put some tape over the top part of the detector window so it blocks out birds or anything over a certain height. Also could be the mask inside the detector has shifted and is blocking the bottom instead of the top....or you have mounted it upside down
