2001 QVale Mangusta

I'm about in the market for a quick vehicle: They are asking $24,000 - starting.

stop me or talk me into it. I've always liked the car for some reason. Seen them about bay area for years as this is where they originated.

2001 Qvale Mangusta Convertible, $24,999 - Cars.com

Selling Points: Unless you own one, chances are youll never see one. 2+2 seating in Italian Saddle/Tobacco colored leather! $82,000 MSRP! Destined to be a collectors item #176 of 284 ever built. Italian exterior beauty with a Mustang Cobra engine Ford serviceable! This is a MANUAL (more desirable).

This one has UGLY wheels.

I just read the car report from car and driver and it seems to have some issues. basically the car is a mustang cobra. think I'll get a 308 or 328 .

"basically the car is a mustang cobra"

It has the same engine/trans combo...and some electrical bits from Visteon and other Ford products. It's not related to the Mustang at all.

Rik- If you like it, you are unlikely to ever see another. Should be relatively easy to maintain with US guts. Those wheels would look nice painted silver over the chrome. Just need to rough up the chrome pretty well.

A lot of leather for $24K.

Panel fit is rough on most of them. You said you were looking for a quick car. It's not really quick. About 9 months ago I spoke with a guy that bought 7-8 unregistered, i.e new Mangusta's from the dealer in SF that developed/imported them.
