The Official KOENIGSEGG Thread!

There are very few things in this world that I want more than a Ferrari - like a permanent suite at the St. Regis in Dana Point. Another thing on that very short list is a Koenigsegg. I think they're all awesome, but the CCXR gets as close to perfect as a car can possibly get without having a horse on it. And honestly, where else can you get 800+ horsepower mated to three pedals?

So here it is. The official Koenigsegg thread. Post pictures, post stories - hell, post a list of the unspeakable things you'd do to own one of these space ships. I'd do "women and children" wet work, no questions asked, judge me all you want. So enjoy the pictures, add whatever you can, give praise to the best thing to come out of Sweden since lithe, blonde-haired foreign exchange students.

Carbon- Actually do not care for it as much as several similarly priced Ferraris that come to mind.

Terry, when I get one, I'll head down to ol' Albuquerque and let you have a go; maybe that'll change your mind.

800 is a pretty easy number to hit these days is you are willing to accept boost of some kind. Naturally aspirated it takes some work, but is still plenty doable...even from a ferrari

Boxer- Ah, but you already have those Ferraris I would rather have, so as part of a collection, she makes perfect sense. For me it is just one car at a time.

You approach is a much wiser one on many different levels (as I am starting to send cars off for their annual maintenance)

That was a great day. I love California, but I sure do miss being around those Koenigseggs.

Truly a visceral and rewarding collection. I'll keep abreast of that thread as I'm interested in seeing what aesthetic adjustments you're having done, and I really enjoy reading your driving impressions.

When I worked at Universal Autosports (the Koenigsegg dealer) in New York, I spent a lot of time with a blue CCX and a black CCXR. I even rode shotgun with Didier Theys at the wheel and looked on as he hit 217 (mph, not kph) on a private airfield in the Florida Everglades. I even had a chance to meet Christian when he came to NY to check out the facility. It's a great company with an amazing story and awe-inspiring cars.

Boxer, do you have any high resolution images of your CCR? I have some Koenigsegg pictures on my laptop at home, I want to post them in this thread. But I also have a collection of Koenigsegg pictures on my iPad that I've been rotating as lock and home screen images, and I'd like to add your car to that rotation.

To be honest, I don't really have to many good pictures of the Egg. I will see if I can dig a couple up and email them over.
