Mr Elway wants wins - just took the best and shortest path to get there.

They were one of the few who had room in their cap - makes sense.

My guess is Manning felt very comfortable playing for another HoF QB.

All the recent NFL moves raises interest and the level of competition.

The NFL has gotten so much bad press they need guys like this making the headlines.

Speaking of news Kronke lost out on owning the Dodgers and surprisingly Magic's group snagged em at

2 Billion Dollars.

Bidding wars are great for sellers, massive egos involved. No way the Dodgers are worth anywhere near that.

Jerry might even sell you the Cowboys for $2B. Well, maybe not.

Given the Dodgers current profitability, payback is ? and the multiple vs sales ?

My guess is both would be very ugly numbers.

Jerry would in a heartbeat - then wait til the person went broke writing the sale contact to just about guarantee it and buy it back at 1 billion.

Few years later still bitch he sold it too cheap and bought it too high.

I can't imagine how the deal is structured to secure financing - it will take at least 10% cash which is still 200 million and even then a claw back for the entire note if there was a strike or the building was deemed unusable etc. Would love to see that insurance loss business policy.

I get the deal at 750M - 1.2 Billion anything past that is sheer insanity.

Then again California is in the hole 13 billion and no one seems upset.

Agree, I could see the deal at $1 billion tops.

I was thinking.

The Secret Service hooker scandal was discovered when a disagreement on how much a prostitute wanted for her services came to light.

The lady wanted $800.00.

The Secret Service Agent offered $30.00.

How ironic is it that the only person willing to cut spending gets fired?

Anyone one else been up for 40 hours because you insisted on watching every second of Le Mans?..................... No, Just me?....

At least it was worth it, getting to watch Ferrari get a 1-2 in class!

Gotta love a 1-2 Ferrari finish.

Does this mean we can expect a Le Mans Special Edition

I suspect that the CS/Scud version of the 458 will have some naming scheme involving their LeMans/ALMS/WEC efforts, now that it is effectively a factory effort and they're doing well with it.

Doubt it, the factory is just not that interested in LeMans.

I think they are, they just know that they can't do F1 AND LeMans prototypes at the same time and do both well.

Ferrari has put a lot into the 430/458 GT program over the last 6-8 years.

(sarcasm) You mean Ferrari brag and show off? No way, they'd never do that! (sarcasm)

If I'm still awake in 5 hours that would mean I have been awake all weekend!

I would love to see Ferrari finally produce a follow up to the 333SP.

same here. 333SP is one of my all-time favorite race cars.

I think a customer Ferrari LMP2 program would have been a huge sucess but I also think the time may have past for that. Prototype rules changing in 2014, would be great to see some effort from the Scuderia (even at a customer level) by then.
