Caparo T1?

Any idea what happened to the Caparo T1? Are they still in business? Did they ever sell a car?

Good question. I think less than a year ago EVO did an article about the practicality of the T1, driving it across England. They certainly gave every impression the car was being sold in small numbers, but as far as I remember they didn't actually state anything concrete.

I love the fact that there are people out there crazy enough to build (and hopefully buy) such a thing. But the emphasis has to be on the word "crazy" - I think it's mad to buy a car like that. I can hardly flex my right foot legally in my 550Maranello, with the T1 you sneeze and your'e in jail.

I hope someone out there has more concrete info on whether these cars actually sold and whether Caparo is still in business.

I have done a bit of hunting on the web and they still have an active website. However I can't find a single one listed for sale anywhere.
