Looking to buy my 1st Ferarri

Hey guys. I'm new here and thought I would make my 1st post.

I'm looking at buying my 1st ferarri. The car i'm looking at is a 99 360. It has 30,000 miles. Looks like its in really nice shape. They say the 30k service was done. What are some things I should look for? is a 99 an OK year?
would 30k miles scare you away?

purchase price 68,000 cdn

Its originally a US car, imported into canada.

My next question is, I'm pretty mechanically inclined. I've ripped engines apart, installed heads, superchargers..etc. on domestic vehicles. Installed a supercharger on my old bmw.. Is a Ferarri any different? I'd imagine the parts are obviously more expensive.

Thanks and i look forward to hearing everyone's replies.
I've been reading around on the forum here on and off over the past few weeks,

-Anthony

find the best ferrari mechanic you can and have him go over it with a fine toothed comb. best money you will ever spend on the car. forget about what the salesman tells you. if i am not mistaken you need a very expensive ferrari computer to do ma lot of the things on a 360. have not owned one but i imagine they are not very easy to do much of substance on. i'm sure i will be corrected by the many 360 owners.

If it's an F1 car you need to see if it's had the F1 pump upgrade.
The early cars also had cam variator upgrades.
If there are no records on either of these items I would contact a Dealer to find out if they are still available and if it is covered under any kind of warranty.
This would play well in the purchase price.

you can also use a good independent. tell us what town the car is in and we may be able to give you a recommendation.
