Speed had NOTHING to do with the crash! It was the very-quickly-slowing-down, that was the problem!

I agree with onno. He probably saw the cop and slammed on the brakes which locked his tires, and you guys know the rest. I really can't believe he survived.

looks like after the several plays that his he pivoted 180, horrizontally slamming his back end into the cement. That would not fair well, but might have helped if his seat back kept some structure and the rear seats and bumper help absorb some impact. Frontal would have been instant death with engine.

Very lucky idiot.
