Tokyo garage

Jimmy,

This might not be too far from your office.

Now that is a garage setup, you can lift one of the cars into your main room.

Wow that is a beautiful home and a very interesting idea. Definitely a topic starter for friends when they come over and see a Lamborghini sitting in the living room. Being in Tokyo I would be interested to see the cost of the house.

Looks interesting, Andrew. Looks like your hobby is into furnitures and designs overall. The location, Shirogane, is actually only ten minutes from my office in Roppongi. Certainly is a fine piece of architecture, but don't be fooled by the beautiful pics. The lot and house are not grandeur (check the numbers). The pics were taken by wide angle lens, thus distorted. The lift setup somehow reminds of the old English puppet TV show, Thunderbird. w/ smiles Jimmy

If you look at the pic real close you can see the strings coming from the corners!

Seriously, given a lot size of only 2,000 square feet or so, plus the required set backs and so forth, this is a matchbox. Not bad for a single guy with a pet maybe. Land is so expensive here, especially there. I would assume that the property alone would run between two to three million US$ easy. ( I may be conservative still). Stacking cars like that (sardine can style), can you imagine taking out the one furthest from the entrance ? What a lousy life. w/ smiles Jimmy

I agree. It is a kool, slick design. Given the hard realities, you just cannot have them all, of course unless you are the extreme exceptions. w/ smiles Jimmy

Yes Jimmy, having to juggle NINE cars in a showroom garage in your house is a lousy life.

I wish my life was that lousy... ;-D

total Floor Area: 3,560 square feet.

don't know if i would call that a matchbox. average square ft of a new american home is around 2100sf. Mine is very comfortable for 5 with everyone having their own room and bath and it's only about 4,500sf.

Either way, i think the guy has exquisite taste in MSM design and cars. I particularly like his living room furniture.
