What's in your dream garage?

Here's a simple but fun question. If you had $200k to spend on two weekend fun cars, what would you get?

You can divvy up the $200k anyway you want. They both don't need to be Ferraris. So a 360 Modena and a Maserati Spyder could be an option or maybe a F430 coupe and a Lotus Elise.

If you know the color combos and transmission choices, name them as well.

So many interesting options, I may end up listing more than one response...

I'll have to think about my selection now. Post yours. I am curious what everyone comes up with.

$200K, 2 cars.... weekenders, these are always so tuff, here goes:

360 Modena, 6 speed

I'm not sure the budget would allow for a F430, if it did, I would probably swap the 360 for one.

That gives you plenty of change for running the cars for a couple of years.

My choice for this simple question but difficult answer.... if I answer this tomorrow my choices would be different. But, this would be a great combo:

1. Vetroresina 308GTB
2. Ford GT

A lovely combination of retro and modern, plenty of horsepower and lovely handling. And blimey! They are GORGEOUS!

1) Ferrari F355 Spider
2) Ferrari Challenge Stradale or Porsche 911 GT3 RS or about 1 of 100 more cars.

I'd go with a 360 Challenge Stradale (red) and a Lotus Elise (chrome orange). I haven't checked pricing lately on the Stradale, but a 2005/2006 Elise can be had for under $30k. That's a great car - telepathic in its handling and hard core.

Ask me tomorrow and my response may be very different. The $200k keeps it a bit more limited and challenging. No F40 available on that budget!

why just two

Caterham
Mini Cooper S
355
and although I shouldn't as I KNOW I'd be leaning into corners and doing at least one wheelie: Ducati

with the remainder would be retainers for lawyers and a downpayment on the new, living will.

glad to see one other closet Ducati fan here. My dream garage has a couple of Dukes to add to the other Italian exotica...

All good responses. I see a few trends. Hard core selections, including the Ducati! And not all Italian, which was interesting to see. Good variety.

Any others want to chime in? Or anyone want to update/adjust their choices since today is a new day. We all have a wandering eye, right?!
