Inflatable Ferrari 430

Check this out...Waddayathink?

XP Vehicles has designed a few concept cars which can be INFLATED.

The car sells for $3,000-$5,000., and stores in a medium sized box weighing less than 500 pounds. The "vehicle" is taken out, inflated and then runs on batteries with a distance claimed up to 2,500 miles. If the vehicle gets punctured, no problem. Tiny air cells surround the car, so passengers are safe from harm and there is minor damage to the vehicle. http://myxpcar.com/

You make a good point. Looking at the one on the right makes me wonder why ALL males aren't heterosexual

As for the car, it is an interesting concept and I thought it very entertaining to share here on Ferrari Life.

I find it interesting too. and the obvious jokes aside I can't seem to feel lack of trust in an inflat. car. Even if made of CF skin.

Now, if it were for golfing or where everyone, say at a resort, drove one then perhaps, but can you see an SUV/truck/HUMMER[no puns guys] get into it with such a car?

I like the concept and think it has worth, but only in an inflatable world ... would want to try it in the harsher jungle out there.

Granucci -

Oh yeah, I agree it's a crazy concept for a highway - especially Germany or the United States.

I've been stuck in the house for about a week during a Blizzard, and going through some papers. I saved the inflatable car story from a May 2008 Popular Science (page 39) and decided to research how the company was coming along with that project. It seems they haven't gotten very far from that time. So, I thought I'd just share the concept here in a Ferrari Life thread. I don't personally see much use for an inflatable car, but maybe it has a place somewhere with someone.

Michael
