All of the cars are my daily drivers, meaning I take turns and try to keep them in shape. I just posted some pics of the cars in the albumn section under my profile (didn't know I could do that until couple of days ago). w/ smiles Jimmy

I drive a Tahoe, GTO or 325ci everywhere. I just rotate them, or drive whatever I'm in the mood of driving that day.

I drive a 1985 Porsche 944, or 1984 Jaguar XJ6. Two very fun and very different cars.

Thanx, Barry. It is a little embarrasing. Still got to "feed" the horses, so to speak. This is becoming to be a little silly, especially when I am the sole driver. w/ smiles Jimmy

It's not silly at all Jimmy. It's a passion that can (and should) be indulged. There are many who drink, inhale or inject their vices - so it could be worse!!! I say keep it up!!

My daily driver is the NYC subway (express) never local! However, my true daily driver(s) are the S500 on nice days, 400E in bad weather and the wife drives a benz wagon on nice days and a mini van (behind the S 500 in the first pic) in bad weather (Have I trained her well or what ). I have to admit, once the daily drivers have reached their limits, we see a quatroporte for her and for me adivina?

In the last year to 18 months, I've got through a variety of daily drivers including:

2005 Audi A4 1.8 Turbo S-Line cabriolet
2007 Mercedes C220 CDi Avantgarde Estate
2001 Alfa 2.0TS Spider
1997 MGF VVC roadster
2007 Saab 9-3 1.9TiD cabriolet

currently I am using a 2005 Ford C-Max 2.0 Ghia TDCi

I'm thinking about moving the Ford on for a BMW 530d or Mercedes CLS 320 CDi at some point this year.

Dear Archie,
The 530 and the CLS are two really, really good cars. I have a 530 on standby in Sweden at the shipyard where I keep the old gaff-rigger ketch. Besides from being a very nice ride, the boot is huge which is good for picking up supplies. Even though it is a sedan it still has foldable back seats for even more loading capacity. It was one of the very first C. Bangle 530:ies delivered and I have never had one single problem with it, ever. I tow the snowmobiles to freezing Lappland with it every year plus a lot of miscellaneous quite hard abuse like towing quad trailers on terrible forrest roads on the moose hunts and it is still as tight as a safe.

Since I, like youself, have sports cars I opted for the run flat tires. They are ok if you go for the widest tire option but you will lose a tiny bit of feed back. But again, who cares when there is a Ferrari in the garage. Also, if your wife or daughter take it out and have a flat tyre they can just carry on home which is a good safety/security feature.

One feature I particularly like is that you can vary the seat heating and the back rest heating separately. That way you can have a warm back without boiling you balls.

Best regards,
il Capolino

Those wheels look really good on that car, Roberto.
I've had quite a few of those cars over the years, great drivers.
How is the 348 project going?
