Let's help make FL better----

Figured I would start a thread with little things we all notice that may need a tweak or something that can be more user friendly. The more stuff we add the better chance the site will be better for everyone. Different guys see different things and may have some great ideas...

Can we get a date for the sale ads, maybe when the ad was placed? I notice alot of ads and not sure if they are one week old or 2 years old. I wouldn't want to contact someone about a car or item if the ad was posted a long time ago.....

Also maybe I am missing it--Is there a sponsor list or link to all the sponsors?

What about a link to "Today's Posts" at the bottom of every page, so you don't have to scroll back up and go into quick links and then hit "Today's Posts"???

I use the "new posts" cheat next to the search button. I think it performs the same function you are asking about.

I used to do that but then I found sometimes the "Todays Posts" button brought up additional threads... (either way having a link at the bottom of the page would avoid having to scroll back up) (god I'm lazy...)

Barry, I like that idea and also have a similar complaint, maybe something next to the Post Reply button, I'll certainly do this.

Robbie,

I agree with you, the entire Classifieds section as a whole could use a general revamp improvement. Keep the feedback coming and I'll set priorities to them, I also want to do major improvements to the Models & Registry, just have to pick my battles and what will be the most useful first.

That would be great Andrew. Next to the Post Reply button would be spot on. Thanks!

Just out of interest is there a difference between "Today's Posts" and "New Posts"???

Yes, Today's post will be all post today. So if you leave the site and come back in 5 hours and today hasn't become tomorrow you'll see all from today.

New Post will only show what is new since your last visit. It will depend on when you visit as to which will have more. Here are the two scenarios:

Day 1 Visit, Day 5 revisit = New Posts will show more as it will have everything over the last 5 Days that you missed

Day 1 14:00 visit, day 1 18:00 visit = Today's Posts will likely show more results

So as a rule, if its been 24 hours use "New" first, then if you come back a few hours later, use Today's

Not as exciting as a bikini perhaps, but could the waiting time between potential refresments of New Posts be shortened? 45 seconds can be a looooong time when you're trying to quickly browse through all new stuff.

A horse is a horse, of course, of course, and no one can talk to a horse of course. That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister F.

You need to subscribe. If you do , there is a Backroom Lounge with a Girls and Cars (NSFW) section which I am sure you will like!

I would also put the Buyers Guides and FerrariLife Quarterly Issues were they are easier to find.

I have always found it difficult, too, to remove ads. as I had to email, and coordinate over time the removal of my ad...actually I believe there is a remaining ad for a T item at $700...for the life of me, can't even remember what it was I posted several years ago.

[like doesn't work for Mondial TSearch...that's a problem too!! ] PS: I believe Dave, at Ricambi, really insn't selling his T any longer, but don't know.
