Fun, but not as muh fun when I landed a UH-1H Huey on Daytona Beach or hovered over Disney World and a nudist camp...
I was raised on fixed wing (multi-engine rated) but my true love is helos because of nap-of-the-earth flying and stunts you can pull (almost) legally.
What do you fly other than Fillipino girls?
(just kidding, Nightlife's threads made me think that)
LOL! I'm a ship Captain not a pilot. The things I do happen at the speed of smell. I once took a oil drilling rig across the Atlantic Ocean from Cape Town to Curacau and the journey took 6 weeks. We got passed by a sailboat in the middle of the ocean. Quite embarrasing when I'm burning 250 gallons of fuel oil to travel a mile and some British woman in a sailboat hails me on the radio to let me know she's passing me to starboard.
I like helicopters also. As a passenger I've flown on just about every civilian model made. Currently I fly on the S-76, the S-92 and the new SuperPuma. I spend about an hour a month in helicopters. I like the S-92 best.
One of the best helicopter rides I had was in a Bolkow where I got to sit in the left seat next to the pilot. He was not a fan of the pilots that flew the big S-61 Choppers and wanted to show me what this little hotrod could do. I did mention that I was a Ferrari driver so he hopped it up a bit. The back seat passengers were not impressed. I loved it. Banked over at 45 degrees full throttle circling the oil rig. It was way cool.
