Nightlife adventures II FLATLANDS TOUR

Howdy boys hope your week was fun mine was incredible .

Our exotic car club in town hosted a first hope to be annual event in our fair city. It started with the ZR Auto boys from Calgary wanting to come down to visit us since we go up fairly often for their events, soon the Saskatoon boys joined in and before we knew it we had over 25 exotics getting together. Our city is quite small and people do not get the chance to see exotics often but to see exotics of this caliber in one place is a once in a lifetime for most people anywhere in the world. We decided to make a special day of it to make sure our good friends from ZR and Saskatoon had a great time so the planning began.

The day started at 6:30 in the morning when my club met at a friends restaurant for coffee and we hit the road to go meet the ZR boys 2 hrs away in a small town to have breakfast and escort them back to town. The drive up was awesome perfect weather we drove briskly but not crazy.......well.....that is until my friend in his Ferrari and myself decide to lead the pack which consisted of (328gts, 348spider, twin turbo 996, 911sc, Countach, twin turbo Gallardo )
so around the 3/4 mark of the trip we take off and drove aggressive for a good 20 min quickly eating up the road and the miles toward the town of Swift Current, when we couldn't see anyone else anymore we slowed down and thats when I noticed I had power loss $HIT!! nothing major but noticeable. We soon arrive at the meeting spot and I stop for gas, fill up, start her up and now smoke and rough idle like I was running on 6 cylinders , my day was over before it began. Thanks to some great friends I was able to get her home and avoid what could have been bad event. She is safe and sound in her stable. BUT THE SHOW MUST GO ON

I hop in my friends Porsche and we are on our way back home for the rest of the day. As we are coming form the west the Saskatoon boys are driving down from the North, people must have freaked seeing thees cars on our highways in fact there was a older gentle man with his wife in a 996 turbo cabriolet from Ontario we go flying by him one by one this was the line up ( Fxx ZR Enzo, Maserati MC12, 2 TT Gallardo, Countach, 328 GTS, Aston Martin Vantage, Ford GT, F430 Novitec, 2 Gallardo, 2 F430, 2 Lotus elise, DB9, 2 TT NSX, 308, 911sc, 3 Diablos but alas no 348spider ) the guy had his mouth wide open shaking his head he couldn't believe what he was seeing, who would lol.

We arrived in town for an elegant Lunch soon after we had a show and shine and then we hit the real show at my buddy's restaurant. It started at 5 ended at 9 we had over 7000 people show up within the 4hr period awesome turnout .
Also had 2 t.v stations a live broadcast and a film crew filming a soon to be released video.

After the show we cruised to the Casino Regina (it is gorgeous there) for some fun and destressing from the days events.

Ps of course we had to pull a few pranks on the boys, Zahir(Fxx Enzo) and Dan(MC12) were very good sports they had a good laugh.

1- I made a set of very realistic cop lights that we installed on Phil and Tanya's new Gallardo to pull over Zahir in the parking lot of the Casino, it was friggin funny ha ha ha.

2-I made a set of signs for the Enzo and the Mc12 for the Casino that read WIN ME on top of the cars and then we invited Zahir and Dan to come out so we could thank them for their generosity ha ha ha.

PPS the Enzo will be featured in Top gear soon and on the DuPont Registry as the Fastest street legal Ferrari in the world and soon to be the Fastest car in the world period. It is estimated to hit 417kmph

Good news after asking the Brotherhood for help I believe the problem with my car is due to my own stupidity almost embarrassing as it is such a rookie mistake because I was being impatient. I THINK I OVERFILLED THE OIL no seriously DOH!!!!!!!

I checked today with my mechanic and sure enough oil in my intake and fouled plugs G Gees

The night before the trip I checked and double checked everything plugs, wires coolant and the oil level which I thought was a little low. Now when I checked the oil we had just come back from a small drive but now that I think about it maybe the oil was not warmed up enough so it gave me a low indication so I topped it to full therefore maybe overfilling.

DOH!!!!!!

Nightlife,

Looks like a fantastic event. Very very cool. That Enzo is awesome - 417 kmh??

Glad to hear your own car problem looks to be minor...

incredible, really fantastic cars and you seem to have a lot of fun there!

a shame you had that problem with the 348, but good to know it was nothing serious

Interesting write up on the Edo Enzo XX in yesterdays Top Gear insert in the London Times.

Not a popular modification with the gentlemen in Maranello.
