Ferrari Week Pictures

I went to the Ferrari Week Festival here in Ottawa with my 2 girls and took some pictures. The Testarossa and 348 were not part of the festival and were parked on side streets going to the festival. I thought I would share the pics, also....lots of Fiats...they were awesome too. My oldest daughter loved the blue one.

Are those Fiat 500's on canadian plates? That is really cool. I had no idea that the Bambino was popular in Canada. They're the european version and not the special americanized ones with the bigger headlights and bigger (and very ugly) bumpers. Which makes me wonder... how different are canadian laws about cars compared to the USA? Are there any huge differences?

Attached is an americanized 500. It's a model (best pic I could find) but you'll notice the larger headlights and those truely awefull american bumbers :s My uncle had similar ones on his 124 Spider.

WOW, I'm impressed how Claudia grew up so fast!!

Well, she's already four years old, right? How could time pass by so fast!?

Nice pictures, anyway, thanks for sharing! Nice to see that your girls are being educated the Ferrari way! =D And the little one (what's her name, BTW?) looks cute too!

To be honest Basoz, I know very little about the Fiat 500's I have abour 5-6 more pictures of them as their was a parking full of them at the Festival and a club in Toronto. I tried to post more pictures but the system wouldn't let me.

Most of the owners are Italian, I saw a really nice Abarth with a chromed up enginewith blue parts OMG it was amazing but when i got close to take more pictures, my camera batteries died. I know some imported them from Europe but thats about all I know as web sites here are very few.

Great pics, esp the Fiat 500's.

Nice to see your daughters share your passion for cars. I have that with my son, he is completely obsessed with cars and is convinced he will be an F1 driver when he grows up. My daughter is only 19 months old, but she continually says "car" and when she plays outside she goes up to the drivers side of my Saab and tries to open the door because she loves sitting in the drivers seat and playing with the steering wheel and switches.

Magnum that is AWESOME ! Thank you for sharing !!!

Third picture has a 600 Multipla (the "van" on the left) which is a REALLY rare car. Also a Fiat 500 Tipolino (the partial blue one on the right) which was the direct predecessor of the Nuova 500.

Fourth picture... the third car from the right has the american bumpers (as does the red 600 on the right next to it) but not the american lights. That's quite odd, but very interesting.

The 600 (next to your daughter's favorite) is a beauty. "wrong" doors, the early 600 badge on the nose... very cool. I really had no idea there were any little Fiats in canada. I shouldn't be surprised, but I still am. What surprises me the most is the condition they appear to be in. They look really very good.

How were they up close?

Well, just goes to show you how much I know about them....nothing...hehehe!!!!

The exteriors were really nice and almost perfect. The interiors of all of them were amazing......and a few, looked liked they just rolled off the factory line.

There is a web site, Fiat 500 Toronto Canada
http://www.fiat500.ca/sale.html

Another vintage group of some sorts
http://www.vea.qc.ca/vea/club/new.htm

This place restores Fiats
http://www.andysspiders.com/index.html

I am also looking to buy one myself and have had an interest since last year. But I know nothing about them so I have some reading to do so I dont get screwed. Mechanically, nothing easier to work on, wiring...easy and body wise, hell a body is a body but finding parts…..well, that's another story.

Last post for pictures....
I saved this one for last as this one is pretty rare and it was a manual and not an automatic...and, I also have a soft spot for older cars.
