Buried dino--is there a good story in some magazine?
I saw a picture of it being un-excavated. Appears to be a 246GTS. I gather it was an insurance fraud. Has it been in CAVALLINO or Forza? Any tips or scans appreciated.
I thought Lord Brockett's Ferraris and the lady buried in her Ferrari were the only buried ones but I guess there's more
The story is in the May issue of the UK magazine Classic & Sportscar.
Here is the full story on video We Solve The Mystery Of How A Ferrari Ended Up Buried In Someone's Yard
Did notice that the front bumper does have the connect piece.
so the Chairs and Flairs would have that standard ?
But what a car ... love it !
Good story but has 07862, chairs & flares GTS emerged today
My feeling on reading the story is that a lot of damage was done in digging it out of its muddy grave. I wonder how much it cost to restore it? (Of course since a mechanic bought it he doesn'thave to pay for his own labor) I looked in the Dino Register and it was still listed as stolen but maybe that register on the net is not the most current one.
'Preciate any update on what happened to the car after the San Fernando mechanic bought it.
