What is the significance of Dino 05984 and why is it in my shop?

Tour Auto has a classic sports car Rally from Kirkland, WA to Pebble Beach meandering through the West Coast with a variety of cars, Ferrari 375, 1950's Ghia Chrylser, and a White Dino #05984. Events did not unfold well on the prep day after the Dino had finished transport from Florida to Seattle, WA. I offered my shop to help by investigating as I live just two miles from the starting point.

Does anyone know the significance of Dino #05984 ?

Is this the Dino that won the Canonball Run in about 1975? It set the fastest overall time ever if I recall correctly, setting a faster time than the Gurney Daytona that won the first Canonball Run in 1971.

Absolutely correct.
Jack May had a Gear reduction starter installed 2 weeks ago in Florida and the solenoid plunger jammed. The Pebble Beach Motoring Classic is 10 days of driving from Seattle to Monterey and we had it isolated and repaired with just 5 hours delay to back on road

What a gorgeous Dino! Great colour combo and those seats look fab. Perhaps this Dino scored the greatest period competition success of all Dino's?

Jack loves to race, second only to his desire to tell racing stories.
I just noticed that he had the tachometer rotated so that redline is vertical making it easy to see it with your peripheral vision - just like they do in race cars.

Forza Jack
