Iain- Guaranteed they did not look that good at the end of the assembly line. She is gorgeous, as are the details.

Thanks Terry. I've certainly tried to get as many details as correct as possible on this car and put considerable time and effort into tracking down a lot of items for it. There is a real feeling of satisfaction seeing it all come back together now and from having saved it from the disastrous condition it was in when I bought it. I'm looking forward to sending the photo's of it once completed to it's first owner who is very keen to see them.

Iain- Sounds like fun talking to the original owner. My old Rosso Dino 02984 is now Rosso Corsa with flares and chairs, so not much use talking to the current owner. Plus I did not even get an owners manual with her in 1975.

I didn't get any of the book pack either Terry nor did I get the tool kit, jack, spare wheel chock or warning triangle. I've managed to source nearly every item it would have been delivered with though including the correct manuals for this car which being an early E series it would have originally come with an M series blue cover owners manual and one of the early versions of the E series parts books. I even tracked down an incredibly rare Bellux warning triangle for it

Iain- That stuff is hard to find and happy you were able to run it down. I had a handbook, parts catalog, and WSM collection at one point, but sold it all to buy fly fishing gear in the 90s. Made quite a profit, but would be worth a bit more now.

Luckily mine did come with tool and jack kits. In 1975 they were not valuable enough to steal.

An incomplete tool kit just sold for $10k US on eBay Terry Prices of the accessories that came with every car are spiralling upwards in line with values of the cars themselves.

Fantastic collection Iain. My compliments. As you say: Hard to get..or pricey..or both. Next step (even harder) is getting the uninterupted history with original receipts of purchases/sales by the different owners over time, theit written stories they had while owning the car, Pictures from them, maybe a folio di montaggio from the factory (whereever those different parts (Body, Chassis, engine) have been connected together.....digin, diggin, diggin. Reminds at Streisands' song "never give up" !

Iain- Whew, that is a relief. Looks like she is about ready for a test drive on a clear, dry day.

Those views bring back lots of memories of my head stuck in that wheelwell and trying to figure out what to do with the R1 and R2 points sets on US 6 lobe distributors..
