Interesting 458 Italia Rendition by Dealer

Saw this used 458 Italia at the showroom of Cornes dealer, rendered with carbons and other interesting modifications toping $100,000 worth to make the car more "interesting". Thought some of you 458 owners would be interested.

Lots of carbons both outside and inside, lexan engine cover, titanium meshes, on and on. Showroom price tag of 33mil JPyen with additional taxes and fees.

As Ed said, wheels are gorgeous but the rest is questionable. For me.

Personally, not condoning one way or another. Asked the dealer why they did the rendition, and the answer was to spice up a bit ?

Thought it was interesting because not often you see rendition like this in a Ferrari, but over on this side of the pond, a much more popular practice among the Porsche owners, who go crazy. Here's one example I saw last year. This owner did the whole car in carbon !

I think on the 458, there's too much. Rather the whole exterior in carbon than parts here and there. Interior is different as long it's not a spectrum of colours. I was taught by a car designer to look at the whole car and work my way down to the smaller details. I like the 458 Grand-Am race car with racing wheels but I still think the taillights should be in the rear grilles and not above.

The 911 looks like a 1972 RS (oil filler lid behind the door only on '72 cars) All carbon exterior is OK but probably illegal on a new car like 458. For more bling-bling I would use foil wrap on the factory panels. A 458 with roof in a different colour looks good on the race cars or white car with black roof. Rgds///Thomas
