I am still really bothered with the rear diffusor. It is not flush within the bumper. Look at the 42 second time, you will see how it is added onto the lower section of the bumper, especially the left and right edges. The standard 458 diffusor looked just fine to me.

You are an ass man I see. I'm a face man...still can't get over how fugly the front-end is.

And in person, you actually will notice how chunky that front bumper chin apron is...it is VERY, VERY thick.

I still can't get over the cross-beam pipe of the exhaust layout either, they should've just straight-piped the thing and call it a day.

I had the exactly Same Impression. The Fitting was much better with the Scud imo!?

Every new day, I find something uglier that bothers me about this car...

Courtesy of GTSpirit, looks like Ferrari was trying to play pyramids in the back.

I count 6 rounded corner blocks stacked up finally to a peak that houses the prancing horse emblem:

What a clusterf*ck!

The OCD in me couldn't take looking at it anymore...I photochopped what I think the rear should've looked like!!!!

Ferrari needs a redo.

Yup!

Could you photoshop a Scuderia carbon rear grill onto your prototype? The way Ferrari did the 458 rear grill never really allow the current carbon grill to look very good. Even flattening out the rear section where the horse is and putting the front bar horse on the rear.

Totally agree Alwin - I don't like the sharp 90 degree line on each rear corner. Rounder lines are more pleasing to the eye and are timeless.

There's only ONE thing wrong with this car:

It's not in my driveway.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

. Seriously now...isn't it often like that here on the Forum...a new car comes out...we (myself included) critisize it down to the bottom and after all is said and done (when suddenly it starts to grow on each one) we want one !? At least it happened sometimes to me.

You didn't love the 458 when it first came out? I loved almost all of it instantly except for the front-end which even to this day I'm impartial about but everything else is quite sexy. The F12 was the opposite, found the rear a little too genitalia-like but overall quite like it.

This Specialé, other than the performance+tech, does nothing for me. Hood is quite ugly, stripe is too chunky, front-end reminds me of a catfish w big eye snot, the side air fin is so arbitrary, the rear is a game of pyramids and they went stripe happy even in the engine bay. IMHO Ferrari in-house messed up on this one.

The only other car that has grown on me over the years, and many years, is the F50 & even that I would still put under the F40 in the looks dept.

Anyways, in other news, two of my favoritest F1 drivers are now on the same team. Forza Kimi+Alo! Forza Scuderia Ferrari! We better beat that soda company next year!

Pretty dang close, except extend the grill all the way to the left and right and remove the 16M badge. Much better IMO. Your design looks cool too.

To me it is still 'love at first sight'... All those bulkiness in the front and rear diffuser are for aerodynamics purposes... those engineers at Ferrari must have done something right and sensible with the design, with a certain target performance to achieve.
