Engine lid underside paint peeling

Anyone else have any peeling of the black paint that coats the underside of the glass hatch? Just noticed about a 1/2 dollar size peeling area, back side left. Never had the underside of the bonnet issue regarding the black paint peeling many experienced with their Scuderia's. 300 miles so far, pretty lame IMO.

Shit Mark, that sucks. It's been a terrible start to a new purchase for you Hope it doesn't put you off for further acquisitions.

Dealer should replace this IMO as part of the warranty.

That is really bad! I never experienced these kind of things before both with my brand new 612 or 458. The only bad experience I had was with the carbon fibre carpets that was damaged within 2 days of wear... never buy Ferrari made carbon fibre carpets!!!

I remember walking through the factory a number of years ago with a friend who worked there. He proudly announced they were up to an average of 13 cars a day. Then he said in a very low voice "we would be far better off only building 10".

Well, they are up to 30 or so now.

FNA has not responded, might ask for President of FNA next. Sent photos to dealer though. Dealer is having clear bra guy make up pieces for the headlights, will mail them to me. Place here can install.

I didn't find it, my friend down the street did. He does that to all my cars, looks for a flaw. He has a good eye though.

Quite.

Fit and finish is better and more consistant that ever before but our basis for that comparison was at or near the lowest ranking in the car industry.

Ferrari is infamous for that and has been since the 50's.

I have always said, and no one in the Ferrari business ever argued, that Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder were working in the paint department.

Yup, you hit the nail on the head. Did the same thing when my SV showed up, found the only chip on the car, was on the driver's side rear "batwing" airvent. We are going to get along fine in Europe. Can't wait!

I am not sure. I know 2008-2010 ZO6's can be had for under 50k, with MSRP's ranging from 80-100k. Best deal IMO. Think ZR1's, 2009's can be had below 80k with 120k MSRP's. Never been a Mustang fan, but the Cali 30 owner in my area just bought his 5th Mustang in a year, the one with over 650 hp, he paid around 80k.
