458/Cali Depreciation?

So I finally got rid of my 458 Challenge, I recently went from the F430 to the R8 V10 as a daily driver... I am now... Ferrariless, I never realized how much I absolutely loved the cars. It started a huge new passion for me.

I am interested in both the California and 458. If I were to go the route of the 458 it would have to be coupe, as the spider is frankly out of my price range.

I am in no rush to purchase, out of curiosity where do you see pricing on both vehicles around the start of 2014 and 2015?

I am anticipating 200K and then 180K for the 458 and then 155K and 145K for the California?

So you are looking to buy when, at the start of 2014? I always figure this, 10k-15k depreciation per year, minus $2.00 / mile. So if you have a 2010 458 Italia, that would be 40-60k depreciation, minus the mileage. Most cars were somewhere around 260-280k MSRP I am assuming. So the right 2010 could be found for around 200k I am guessing. Cali, have no clue.

I am thinking the beginning of 2014-2015.

Current pricing is a little bit high for me at the moment I will admit.

Still not certain if I should go with the 458 or california though, I use the R8 as a DD and absolutely love it and service is absurdly cheap. Would be nice to have a full size trunk though is the only reason I am contemplating the California.

Cali trunk is not that big with top up or down, similar to a Mercedes CLK Cab.
