New 458 Spider coming before June

The order for my spider just got allocated for a April build. Not sure dates but I'm hoping that means May delivery. The order got reviewed Friday last and goes "hard" tomorrow. The two changes I made from the original specs I had disclosed in the "new member" section were the color and I also added the body colored stripe to the racing seats as well as the body colored logo on the headrest.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank many of you for sharing so much info on FL. It has been an invaluable resource to those of us struggling with a build.

Btw I went from Rosso scud to corsa at the last minute. I just thought scud was too orangey for my taste.

Ernie- Congratulations. Look forward to seeing photos of her, but not as much as you will be looking forward to taking them.

Thanks Taz. Would love to pick your brain when I'm ready for a HGTC 575 SA.

Very exciting! Just a year ago I was in anticipation of my own Italia. Amazing (but frustrating) days!

Ernie- We have tons of tech data on the 575 SA and the HGTC package. You can download an owners manual at ferraridatabase.com. 30-40% of SAs were HGTC fitted, so much easier to find than a 575M HGTC. There is a separate HGTC OM supplement for the 575M. Not sure if there was an equivalent for the SA, but the packages were identical. The supplement is still available from Ferrari, because I recently ordered and received one.

Yes definitely want the stitched cavellino and stripe. I had a hard time deciding, but I talked to many owners and stayed with rosso scuderia. I agree though, under really bright lighting conditions, the bright red can look orange.

I have a March build, so curious to see how long it takes to get here. I was told late April, but am realistically thinking May.

I was 50/50 between corsa and scuderia. Can't go wrong with either really.

I'm telling all of you before my own wife because you guys will probably be happier than she would be lmao. Just heard that my spider is in the water and should be here by the end of the month. Got a break somehow and the allocation got moved up one month. Boy I'm excited

You'll love corsa - great choice and the cavellino stitch is one of the options I dont have that I regret the most. Great last minute audible on that one.

I probably won't get too excited till it gets here. Sounds terrible I know but it's just my nature. The car should be stunning.y previous spider was black so it will be cool to have a red car finally. Don't recall ever owning one.

Rosso Corsa v Rosso Scuderia

Put a Rosso Scuderia car next to one in Rosso Corsa & I think you'll find the Corsa looks dull. I had four cars ( 328 GTS & three 355 GTS ) in Corsa - my car prior to my 458 was a 430 spider in Rosso Scuderia - amazing! In bright sunlight it looked wonderful.

Interesting that you know the delivery date. My dealership is telling me they can't know when it actually went onto the boat or when it will land until its actually on the car carrier having left the port.
