Just got the call

Just got the call, have one week to decide on options. Was going to go Giallo Modena, but my 16M is that color.

Choices now are: Rosso Corsa, Rosso Scuderia, or a favorite of mine, Rosso Andromeda, a Lambo color that has some pink and purple hues in sunlight.

Option:
CFRP
CF Steering Wheel with LED's
CF race seats Large
Scuderia Fender Shields
DALA - Alcantara seats and door panel inserts
Special stitching in Rosso
Horse on headrest stitched in color
Sport forged dark wheels
Sport sills
Red Tachometer
Kick plates in carbon fiber
Alcantara Headliner
Cruise control
Hi-Fi might delete that option

Opinions?

Mark- Rosso Scuderia is really nice, a little redder than Rosso Dino. The triple yellow is even prettier than Giallo Modena, but expensive.

I prefer the embossed cavallino over the stiched one.
Else, it sounds like a magnificent car.
Any of those colors will look just great,
although andromeda would certainly be one-of-a-kind!

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

Not a fan of the Metallic Red's, nor the 20k upgraded price. Could add all the engine bay including the manifolds and airbox in carbon fiber for 20k.

If your planning to keep the spider for a while, get Rosso Andromeda -- to be different.

Otherwise choose rosso scud.

Great spec Mark. I'm not a fan of the regular reds on the 458, but everyone sees it differently so I'm not going to talk about colours.

For me personally, the extra money on the paint job was money very well spent and I would rather do that than the CF in the engine bay. But again, that is a personal preference.

One must for me, nonetheless, was the CF on the headers - it makes the car look so much racier than the normal red. And since you can see it so well on a berlinetta, it was expensive but worth it IMHO.

Other than that, my spec is very similar to yours. I would definitely scrap the HiFi, I'm perfectly happy with the standard stereo. I also find the parking sensors very handy but the camera not necessary. Cruise control is a must for me, way too many speeding fines if you don't get it!

Have fun deciding!

Well spec'd.

Maybe take a look at some Maser colors or 50 -60's colors - sticking Lambo colors could be frowned upon resale.

The paint outside the range / outside the factory is worth every penny.

Well other option would be to go to Russell's color, the Rosso Formula One. But then I would want the brake calipers customer matched to that spec also.

Well, have the weekend to relax, drink and be Merry, and think about it.

Heard that an acquaintence in Gig Harbor had his Scuderia Coupe customer painted by Ferrari in Carrera White, added an extra year to the wait. Eric might be mistaken on this though, as maybe the total wait for his Scuderia was 1 year?

Based on RTGT's estimate, I will have the car at the end of April? That would put my wait at 13 months.

Regarding whether the upgraded paint is worth it, guess it depends on how long I plan to keep the car. I have seen high dollar Scud paint jobs, like Bianco Fuji try to fetch their original value a few years later, but they only get 1/2 or less.

Carbon Headers? Think you meant carbon intake manifolds. You should add the Capristo airbox. A few grand less than the OEM Ferrari airbox, and all you have to do it seems is just remove the Ferrari badge from the stock airbox, and attach it to the Capristo.

Only reason might change from original Giallo Modena, is that my 16M is that color, and why have two cars in the same color? Never had a "Red" Ferrari, so might as well get one. Also, looking at Autotrader.com, there are a ton of Giallo Modena 458's still sitting if I ever decide to sell. Of course, there are a ton of Rossa Corsa one's also. Pricing might be why, and not the color with the Economy still in disaray?

More 'reds' out there: they are actually selling and I suspect quite well regardless of what looks like frozen inventory. economy is the issue , it does not stop sales just the volume . there is always the market for higher priced cars .

what I do agree is picking the color is the most difficult choice . but this is not a tattoo so enjoying what you have for now is an easy one. pick something you can live with for the next 5 years .

I would then consider looking at Grigio Silverstone, I really like the colour on the 458.

Didn't know what to think about the brown interior though, I found this in Istanbul and it really just looked nice at every angle with this colour.

Ordered today, only change was to delete sport sills, will save about $1000 by just wrapping them matte black, kind of silly because to clear bra them would cost the same, then if I ever sell and the new owner likes them painted, there you go.

Went with Rosso Scuderia. Now looking for some Ebay deals on the cf airbox, rear diffusor and front wings. Figure the wings will be easy enough, as the front bumper will have to be removed to add skid plates.

Estimated early May delivery.
