458 Carbon Fiber Fender Shields.

Does anyone know where I can obtain a set of original or aftermarket 458 carbon fiber fender shields.
Is Ferrari producing an original?
Looking forward to anyones response.

They are an undocumented option when ordering the car, so I expect you can also order them via Ferrari Parts.

Hugh- Send an e-mail to Daniel at Ricambi and he should be able to get you a set. They are pretty expensive.

I have still not been able to get them from Ferrari, after 9 months.

I'll fire an e-mail to Ricambi. But perhaps I'll have some made, I know a very good CF company in Holland.

May want to ask this guy on e-bay selling two sets for the 360 430

The 360 and 430 badges do not fit the 458. The guy is selling genuine Ferrari parts, and Ferrari Genuine still don't have the 458 badge, so this guy is unlikely to be of help.

Looked at Ricambi's parts catalog and the regular shields are listed at ~$3300 each. Holy Mackeral. A bit more than for earlier cars.

as a side note, unrelated, but got me to wondering about 'other' makers and carbon shields

....In my searching I noticed Yoshi Shields is out of business!!!!

rats, that was a good source. Glad I have a few sets of his.

Pity about Yoshi his gear was good, but I guess now those shield you have tucked away will be an appreciating asset.

Cheers
Michael

After paying 700.00 for cf handles and 750.00 for a cf gas cap I am feeling good :)

Thinking about buying the ones on e-bay I posted earlier.

I think that price will drop when they have extra's to sell.

Thanks for everyones input. Have had no success so far. Cheers.

My understanding is that currently they are only available for the 599GTB and GTO, and the F430 and 360.

They are around $1600.

The only thing I don't like is that they have yet to make a front hood emblem that matches the theme of what they are doing with the shields.

Hi all,

I am now offering new Scuderia fender shields and nose badges - no carbon fiber yet though.

Shields are true cloisonne - stainless steel base material with baked vitreous enamel and clear coat. Indistinguisable from original Ferrari shields in color, quality and size.

Will make every attempt to keep the price low for Ferrari Life members. :-)

First production run is sold out but taking orders for the later half of January.

Please PM me or see my ad under Buy&Sell/Parts if you are interested.

Best...Jim

As crazy as this may sound... the 430 CF Shields will fit the 458 - no modifications needed. Not too many people know that.

I have 2 left in stock:

That is surprising? Most have said they will not?

When are you going to get around to posting your Ferrari 458 Carbon fiber goodies on your website for sale?

Also, we really need a copy of the carbon fender shields for the front nose emblem.

CAPRISTO 01-10-2013 02:41 PM

Just had one done at Ferrari of Palm Beach... I was also surprise!

I do not see "copies" coming on the market in the near future, unless someone doesn't really care being sued by Ferrari.

The Cavallino is a Ferrari trademark, and there are no OEM Cavallinos that can fit those shields (Trust me, I've been looking). Getting the shields done (blank) is not a problem.... but who will buy blank shields?

So tired of waiting for Ferrari to release one for the 458, we said... what the heck... lets try a 430 one to see if it will work... and it did... I should have a picture shortly to upload.

For the rest of the parts, check this URL:

Pricing is not listed though... for that just give us a call or email us...

I know someone who put the 430 CF shields on their 458 which is why I suggested the ones on the e-bay ad ... oh well.

What do you guys think - should I switch to CF shields and go back to original red calipers and add cf center caps.

Absolutely should go back to the Red calipers. If your wheel caps are carbon, then carbon shields, if the shields are yellow, then yellow wheel caps.

Still a gorgeous car no matter what you do. Still no 16M's for sale in the USA with the carbon side sills, unless the black one at the collection has them, but can't tell from the photos, might be the car that was at Beverly Hills Ferrari.

Thanks Mark.

I saw the one at the Collection - pretty sure they are not cf sills.

My goal is to break up every line on the 16M with CF :)

Any luck installing your cf door handles?

tazandjan 01-10-2013 07:48 PM

Doug- I prefer the yellow calipers to the red ones for your car. The CF shields would look great with all the other CF on your car. That is a great price on that set.
