My new California

I collected my second California on Wednesday. I went for a completely different look this time round (previous one was Bianco Avus with Cuoio interior) and gave it a more sporty appearance in Nero Daytona with a Grigio Opaco matte grey roof, 458 style seat inserts on the race seats, carbon fibre upper zone and steering wheel with LED's, carbon number plate surround, chrome front grille, shields, 20" diamond finish wheels, grigio chiaro stitch, yellow seat centre stripes, silver seatbelts and dual alcantara and leather interior. I've got a couple of special request features the factory have not done before - centre strip across the dash in alcantara and rear seat bases in 458 style.

Thought I'd share some pics as others may be interested to see how it looks.

I saw an almost similar model at the last Ferrari Challenge at Infineon and thought it looked quite nice as yours.

I like the mixture now of leather and alcantara, and find the choice of yellow callipers and chrome grill to be nice touches. The CF seats would have been my choice as well.

The CA has grown on me [darn it...I was so in its face couple years ago] and, well, the wife likes it so there.

BTW: Why did you get a 2nd? What happened to the first?

I'm onto my 2nd Cali as my dealer made me an offer to trade my 15 month old one in for a new car that was simply too good to pass up on.

Nice car, nice photographs - you've really picked out the finer exterior angles!

Those aren't seats, they're golf bag storage units!

Only saw this post now

Congrats Iain on the Cali. It looks fantastic. I love the interior choices that you went for. I must say, I've never seen a Cali with the 458 style racing seats and it looks great. Along with the mix of Alcantara and Leather

You definitely have a good relationship with your dealer, as they offered a similar deal with your 2nd 458 if I remember correctly? Very nice

Sorry for the necro bump, but I was searching for threads on the California and this beautiful car popped up. Only problem with the car is that the steering wheel is one the right (lol)! Kidding aside, it is a beautiful car and it shines soo nicely in black.

If I ever get paid enough to buy one of these (lottery or career wise), I am definitely picking up a styling similiar to this one.

I noticed the back seats have no leg room, do the seats push up (lack of better wording) or is it static like that? If it is static, what is the purpose of even having backseats lol. I don't even think you can fit a 13 year old in that small space.

Congrats! I think the car looks like a beast (in a good way).

That has to be the best colour and optioned California I've seen yet.

Thanks for posting pics and stimulating your economy.

What did you do with her twin sister?

The back seats do tilt forward so that passengers can get in the back. There isn't a lot of room back there, especially if the driver/front passenger are tall but it is possible for small adults and kids to sit in the back.

Since I had my interior specially done Ferrari now offer this 458 style seat insert for the front and rear as a regular option. I guess someone at the factory saw mine and liked it so decided to add it to the standard options list.

Have you ever put an adult in the back?

I sat in the back of my previous one to see if it was possible to even fit in there. I managed, with the top down, but wouldn't have wanted to travel far. The person sitting in front would have had to be pretty short. Also if you are tall your head is above the level of the windscreen header rail so it would get fairly blustery back there. At least the back wall is vertical unlike the 911 convertible where it's canted forward.
