California spotted in Tokyo

I saw a California here in Tokyo, "crawling" down the busy street. My first impression was more of a Mas or Toyota Celica. Not impressed. I must be getting old. Sorry for the talked over and out topic. w/ smiles Jimmy

+1, but it is sold as a Ferrari. Mind you, not that I do not like Mas. Aside from the mentioned Calfornia, others spotters like 612s, 599s, 430s,...well, did not get any rushes. Could it be that my hormones are low or maybe I need a new heart ? w/ smiles Jimmy

Not at all.

I just think the California is not an exciting Ferrari.

Saw the new Alfa today in a mag...thinking WAY too expensive @ $300k, and it looks way too similar to the CA...what is FIAT thinking?

the new SLS AMG looks hot, and I am not a fan of MB, but would get that baby, new-gullwing over the CA anyway...sorry.

I would think they are now crossplatforming in the GM manner.

They have been spoiled with Ferrari's successes and probably think that all their cars will now be $250-$300K winners.

I saw a few new Alfa's 2 years ago in Italy and they look very nice especially the small convertible which I would bet is a variant of the Maserati. However, the pricing is another issue.

Now thats a strange thing. I started a thread two days ago on the general section, with exactly the same thoughts about thinking the California looking like a Celica.

If Maserati introduces their convertible model this Fall sales of the California might tank further especially if the Maserati is a hard drop top.

Nothing wrong with your own opinion and taste. We're all different and we tick to different things. Glad that you like the car. w/ smiles Jimmy

now now, diff. strokes ... afterall I believe that California will appeal to someone, just not more likely me. ESPECIALLY at that price.

would rather wait for a alterante 12 cylinder style, likely the new 599 convert/targa topped being bantered about, ok, BY ME

wishing.
