Buying a 360 Modena in Houston

Dear Members,

I was hoping to get some insights/help regarding buying a 360 Modena (in Houston) within the next 1-2 months. I tried my best to take in as much as possible from the past threads, buying guide and streamlined my search to the following;

1) Red/ Tan or Red/Black 360 Modena or Spider.
2) F1 Transmission, personal preference.
3) Less than 20k miles, preferably below 15k miles.
4) If possible, later, 02-04 model.
5) PPI mandatory and from Mark, Sphere Motorsports in Houston.

However, my concern is that the pricing seems to be inconsistent to what is being generally mentioned in the forums or threads, FML etc. Of course, nothing can be generic in buying a Ferrari, but a range is appreciated. At present few are available for sale in Houston, can someone share his/her thoughts on them.

Thanking you all in anticipation.

Welcome to Ferrari Life. Prices on Ferraris always tend to be inconsistent, but these asking prices look like they pretty much line up on mileage and model year considerations. Good luck with the search. Limiting yourself to local cars really cuts down on opportunity, but does make it much more convenient.

Attachment 101649Welcome to Ferrari Life! I just completed a purchase of a 2004 360 Modena Coupe. I did a fair amount of data gathering and analysis. As you can see from the attached Word file, prices are all over the place. In the end, my objective was to buy the newest with fewest miles that had been well taken care of. Personally, I would not limit myself to just Houston. In the scheme of things a plane trip and shipping it home are not that large of an expense.

Happy hunting,

Sorry had to change Word 97 format

Mr Mallick,

Frankly, the #2 Coupe looks to me to nicest one I have seen. All the stuff I wanted (Except 6sp manual) and none that I did not want. Even has the black vented rear panel.

I would negotiate for it in a heartbeat, pending a PPI. 2003 year models are supposed to be superb.

Wetpet is right. I learned quickly that limiting my search to the local area was a bad idea. These aren't Hondas or Toyotas that are plentiful and you can find one locally.

Also if you are willing to go up about 25k you could get a F430 assuming you would want it.
