Night Life........thanks so much for the VIP treatment in Regina! Me and Jerry had a great time at your clubs! Too bad we missed seeing your cars! Saw an F40 yesterday morn, I was sitting in Starbuck's when it sped by, looked great, MUST'VE been a kit car though, can't see someone driving an
F40 to work in Winnipeg!! Been driving my 308 a lot though, taking it out to Selkirk today for a brunch, my accountant is retiring! Still haven't connected with any other exotic car owners in Winnipeg, where are you guys? Might just have to cruise to Regina this summer to get together with a bunch of owners! Ciao for now then!!! No worries any time you are up let me know and I will oblige..

Your accountant retiring that would make me suspicious..

I too am shocked at the lack of exotics in Winnipeg especially with a city of 1 million

Any time you want to come up for a cruse you are welcome there are quite a few of us know

Maybe you can join us for our Euro car show in June?

Not sure I will let you know,

If you do come up and you need to park your car indoors I would be happy to oblige.

I think there are only two Hotels with indoor parking.

Keep checking both sites for updates..

Snowy(!) Vancouver calling in here...

Yes, all of our cars are lonely right now, but at least they're warm and dry!

Although this always reminds me of this one time, during the winter many years ago when I still lived in Montreal, I was travelling to Ottawa and heading in the opposite direction (along Hwy #17), was a light metallic blue 308 GTB! It was snowing at the time and I was both amazed and shocked to see a Ferrari driving in such poor weather... It was a genuine example too, not a Fiero kit car.

Tom, is that your 365 GT 2+2 on page 33 of the recent issue of Prancing Horse magazine, #169 (coverage of the FCA's annual meet in Toronto this past summer)?

Yes, that's Stacy O'Blenes from Nova Scotia (copilot) and me arriving at the winery at the end of the Rally.

That was my first FCA event, but hopefully not my last. I really enjoyed the entire week. I drove down from Quebec in the car. I'm tempted to drive it to Elkhart Lake next July (18 - 20 hours each way).

Small world then... Please say "hi" and wish him Happy Holidays from me; earlier this year, he had contacted me as he was considering moving out here to Vancouver and wanted to know more info about the city and what would be involved in bringing his cars out here.

Just from the small photo, your 365 looks fantastic. What colour is it?

I haven't been to an Annual Meet yet and would like to attend sometime in the future. We had considered hosting one in the past (in a joint effort between us, the Western Canada Region and the Northwest Region), but it fell through due to a lack of suitable, conveniently-located facilities...

Hi Peter,
The car color is Grigio Ortello. It changes color in different light but basically it's a medium gray metallic with a touch of olive green.
Merry Christmas to all.

To be owner

hi guys,

i'm glad to see the sparks in canadian owner,
i would really wanna thank you all in advance for providing me with any info .
I'm looking into buying a 430 spider or a 360 spider,
I was so confident that i wanna get a red 360, but never found any in BC,
so i checked the 430 spider and it was pretty much worth the diffrence.

I was offerred two types of deals,
1) a 3 years lease contract with option to purchase

2) owner ship by financing the car from the begining.

I have now idea how the lease works.
I do need to come up with substantial amount of cash in eaither case,
but can i still call my self the owner of the car i'm driving when i have leased it ?

or im gonna be another guy who is actually renting.

in the other hand, the lease contract seems interesting as i dont need to strugle finding buyer for the car if i was to buy a another car after 3 years.

anyway, any help or reply is really appreciated.
thanks in advance

In either case, you're basically a renter, not an owner. The lease is good if you decide you're only going to keep the car for the three year period and move onto something else, which is not a bad idea because I wouldn't be too keen on owning a car like that much beyond it's warranty period.

Quite a few 360 and 430 Spiders were sold here in Vancouver and I remember seeing a few on F/M of Van.'s website not that long ago... They're around. Talk to Craig Parsons and see if he knows if any of his customers are willing to let go of theirs.

Peter is correct if you are only looking to keep the car for a short period of time but with the prices of the 360 falling so rapidly you might be able to buy one way cheaper than you realize in the States.
