Any informal rating of who did best job converting 400 coupes to ragtops?
I noticed on the net that a Straman converted 400 , black on black, automatic, sold for only $22,000 at an America Auction Co. auction in 2013 which I consider dirt cheap. And I thought he was the highest quality converter. I have since found out Pavesi, Italian coachbuilder of commercial vehicles, did some as did Autokraft in the UK and some German coachbuilder. I was wondering if anybody has researched this and has an opinion of who built the best and who built the worst. I have a feeling that one reason they go so cheap is that nobody is sure who built one that has the quality of an OEM product.
