| Ferrari Enzo Information: |
The concept of the Enzo Ferrari was to provide the ultimate in technology and performance; to design, develop and build the epitome of all extreme super cars, a car developed for road use whilst incorporating the monumental technological advances which have been made by the Ferrari Formula 1 team.
The decision to name this car after the company's founder, Enzo Ferrari, came at a particularly positive phase in Ferrari's history. It represents a tribute to the person who first realised what an immensely strong link racing would provide with the production of exclusive performance cars.
"To bring together our racing success and the fundamental role of races, I decided that this car, which represents the best that our technology is capable of, should be dedicated to the founder of the company, who always thought racing should lay the foundations for our road car designs and so this model, which we are very proud of, will be known as the Enzo Ferrari" Luca di Montezemolo - President of Ferrari Spa
The Enzo Ferrari was unveiled to the public for the first time at the Paris International Motor Show on the 28th of September 2002. Just 399 examples will be built. |
