Default The Elegance at Hershey

is anyone planning on attending? In only its second year, this is proving to be a premier event. Tomorrow is the hill climb. Last year there were some very cool cars going up the hill including a supercharged vintage Bentley, and 11 Mercedes, a 16 cylinder Bugatti and then a host of morgans, 356 Porsches and other neat stuff.

Sunday holds the concours and we are talking top notch, Pebble Beach winning quality cars. The Frenchies are featured this year with a number of Bugattis, Delahayes, Delages and others hitting the greens.

If you are in the metro area, you should think about attending. I'll be there photographing both days.

I heard that the little blue car will be in attendance along with Mr Mariott's Maserati AG6

Default too bad

Hey Admiral,

Too bad tlbc won't be going up the hill. Looking forward to seeing you and the family. I'll have my eldest on hand. She'll be participating in the Hagerty youth judging program.

see you soon!

Ken

Dear Ken,

Agree, but I am not making the required changes to TLBC in order to meet the VSCCA rules for competition just for one easy run up the hill.

In the early seventies I did run the entire Pennsylvania HillClimb Series but Hershey was not active then.

Best regards,

Robert

Results for TLBC and pics at post #208 and #209 on 500 Mondial Series 2

Since Ken was massively busy with all of the unusual and pretty car photo opportunities I suspect it may be awhile before his photos show up.

Best regards,

Robert

Default the gentleman

Dear Admiral,

Once again, you present yourself as such a gentleman. I so enjoyed listening to you with the Hagerty Youth Judging kids. I'm sorry my daughter wasn't feeling well at the time to have participated in that discussion.

Here are a few of my photos from the day.

regards

Ken

One of my favorite cars, period. Such pure, simple lines yet wildly beautiful in their execution.

Dear Ken,

Great shots as usual. Sorry your daughter was not up to the kids judging experience. The kids judging is an interesting challenge as they have no preconceived notions or bias relating to provenance or early (ancient) racing history but mark their cards on the visual excitement they feel when checking out the various cars. I am quite delighted that they too like TLBC.

Best regards,

Robert

My parents are both staring at it, afraid that it will fall and take out the side panel. Which is why Ed is never allowed to wear it around the car.
