Here is a link to threads for previous years - Great Falls Village weekly Saturday morning C&C 2011 C & C: Great Falls, VA - Katie's We started this year off in fine fashion - the relatively mild weather this morning (clear, 40F) meant that practically everyone came out. The front and 2nd parking lots filled, and there was even some overflow beyond. It rivaled some of the early-summer turnouts. Lots and lots of Italian cars there today... --Bob Collum |

Looks like a nice turnout. Interesting that we have a black and white LF-A in the area.
Everything you have heard is true. |

Proof positive that we have some die-hard people coming to this event. Clear and cold this morning, high 20's. Luckily, no wind. Still, we had something on the order of 60 or so cars. I took the shot of the lot right at 7:30AM. Several groups came in threes - Camaros, Shelbys... we even had two Rolls Royces and a Bentley show up together. --Bob Collum |

Who likes British Cars? We had some beauties today. An impressive Bentley. Our friend Sunir brought out the DB9 he just bought. Gorgeous in Slate Blue, it was an Aston press car, prepared for the '06 LA Auto Show. Unique plaques in the door sills and the engine compartment. A good portion of the Aston Martin model lineup - a Vantage, a DB9, and a V8 Vantage Roadster. A Rossion is kinda-sorta British, isn't it? A good contingent of Italians there today, too - including one pic with 3 generations of mid-engined Ferraris. --Bob Collum |

People often ask when this gathering stops for the year. I tell them it really has no 'start' nor 'end' date anymore - people bring their cars out when they want to. If the roads aren't wet, cars will show up. If it's not bitterly cold, turnout will be pretty good. Today, a couple of items conspired to keep the cars, and most of the people, away. First, the roads were salted in anticipation of the predicted snow. Many regulars with exotics are not anxious to subject their chassis to salt spray. (Full disclosure - I didn't drive my Lotus, either.) While the snow did arrive as predicted, none accumulated on the roads. The roads were slightly damp. This combination, this week, resulted in a very light turnout of interesting cars. No less than 10 enthusiatic regulars brought their daily drivers, and stayed inside by the fire to talk cars. Mark my words, though - a large number of regulars have gotten used to their weekly automotive fix, year-round. I predict that, barring heavy salt and real precipitation, next week will see the return of a good number of interesting vehicles. --Bob Collum |
