Default HUGE car show tomorrow, anyone coming?

Tomorrow (Saturday, Sep 10) there will be almost 400 cars on display at Marley Station Mall on Rte 2 (North of Annapolis, South of Glen Burnie).

As in the past, this will be one of the few times exotics are welcome to show.
I plan to drive up there around 5pm.

Anyone else interested in meeting up?

Patriotic Car and Truck Show, Saturday, Sept. 10th, 4-8pm, Marley Station Mall Parking lot. There is a $10 registration fee for show, proceeds will be donated to local charities. Admission is free for pedestrians as always. Any questions call Stephan at 410-255-6978. Chance of rain only 20%!!!!

sellout crowd

One guy wheeled in a USMC E model Huey helicopter complete with mini-guns and a live 2.75 rocket (phosphorus) - Vietname war vintage he plans to restore and fly

He's invited us to visit his farm and see the a/c sometime, if interested

I'll post pics later this week

Something I did not expect to see at a car show, esp. since I flew a similar a/c (D model) during the Vietnam war era. It brought back some fantastic memories sitting in the pilot's seat and smelling the JP4.

It was a great tribute to 9/11 with historic military vehicles, EMT equipment, and ~400 cars of all types and large crowds present.

I fell in love all over again, with a Huey.

I used to fly the B, C and D models, hence the love affair with this E model on display.

Great turnout, 400+ cars, a large crowd including vintage military equipment and even a fire truck from Levittown, NY to honor 9/11.

We should take a drive to south county this Fall after Annapolis Cars and Coffee to checkout the Huey.

iPhone pics, setting sun.

Al, Those pictures of the Huey gave me a stiffy! Flew about 25 hours in an N model, some of the best flying I've ever done! I remember it like it was yesterday. As soon as I get back to DC, I'm in for a trip down there.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

I had a stiff one sitting in the right seat pulling the collective and playing with the cyclic!

You are on for a road trip to go see in-person. I'm sure he'll let us fire it up too!

BTW, he actually have a LIVE 2.75" rocket in the cabin (phosphorous). That part scare me a wee bit along with several hand or smoke grenades and what I thought was live min-gun ammo (they still had intact firing caps and bullet heads on the shell casings)
