Default Spring thaw

Is anyone planning on attending? I haven't registered for the lunch, and I understand it's too late. Does anyone know if there is still space for Ferrari display only?

Don't worry about missing the FCA lunch. Last year, a good many of us paid in full to be seated on the other side of the restaurant's partition. We couldn't see or hear anything from the FCA event's full side. We thought there were people speaking on microphones about Ferraris, but no way to confirm that rumor. Spring Thaw is great without the luncheon.

right. too bad it will be raining outside. guess we can take over the bar. i'm still deciding, but i may pass if it's raining. also have to be up in b-more around three for cirque du soleil. but i'd still like to see some people. been a long, cold winter and this usually is the first big turnout. Congrats to laura on putting together one of the best fca events of the year.

unless there's a complete reversal of the current forecast, we've decided not attend - turns out the car doesn't have a roof.

If it weren't going to rain hard, I'd drive over and enjoy sitting with the Terrace Group. Maybe next year.

That's a fantastic picture, D!

Hey Bryan- your dad still has that hat from the Rockville Show, right? So what's the problem?

rube. but that's what $2300 gets ya. A roof would have been another $50 for sure.

HA! I forgot about "the hat"! It may even have its own gutter system.

if it weren't for the gauges and the seat, we'e have no issue w/ the rain.

to be true to factory methods, you'll ned to use a ball penn hammer and a metal punch

great pic, BTW; can I get a high res?

I love that shot. I remember the Admiral cranking the 4cyl beast up at FOW that day. One of the few memories in my Ferrari experience I will never forget.

For what it is worth... They have a large covered area at Reston that would keep the 500 dry. Assuming the FCA would move the faux GTO and TR, I think they might be able to make some space for one of the most significant ferraris in the area.

Man, weather channel says chance of rain 100%. that's pretty ballsy. You would think they would go with 99%. I wouldn't even go 100% on the sun coming up....

Getting caught in the rain is one thing.... driving a 26 year old italian car in it on purpose is something else entirely.... SO I will pass on the festivities tomorrow. I did want to see some cool looking replicas and the assorted collection of 360 Modenas..... oh well.... maybe next year.

Hey guys, just received the following:

Due to the incredibly bad weather forecast for tomorrow (Sat. April 16, 2011) we've moved the Spring Thaw to Sunday, April 17, 2011.....exact same schedule (see Below) except 24 hours later. If you have signed up with Laura but now must cancel, email Bill Ebert at webert2@comcast.net immediately. If you did not sign up with Laura and now want to come, email Bill immediately and he'll put you on a list so that as people cancel he'll put you in their slot.
