I've been working with the promoters of the Baltimore GP to put together a series of events related to the upcoming race. This region is long overdue for a world class event such as this... The first part of the event will be held at the University Club in downtown DC from 1200-1500hrs. The organizers for the GP will be bringing their Indy display car. The CEO will also make a presentation on the race and the history of open wheel racing in the US. GT1Nick and I have arranged for free parking for exotics outside in the driveway at the Club. This parking area may fill up quickly, so it will be ideal to arrive early. Tentative schedule: 1200-1300 View display Indy car outside 1300-1400 Lunch 1400-1500 Presentation The cost for the event is $20 which is to cover the lunch and refreshments as the University Club is a non-profit organization. The event flyer for the University Club event is attached. At 1530hrs, Central Wines and Liquors (625 E Street, NW, Washington, DC 20004) will celebrate the Baltimore GP by hosting a wine tasting with Tradewinds Specialties. Tradewinds will be presenting wines from Spain and Argentina. Parking for exotics at Central is being finalized and we'll provide more details as they become available. There is no cost for the wine tasting. To send an RSVP, please use the flyer instructions for the University Club event and PM me for the Central wine tasting. Now that the salt has been washed off the roads, we can start our driving season! Thanks, LS |

Great response so far...I've got 22 RSVPs for both events. Please let me know if any of you would like to join us. You can now send all RSVPs directly to me for both events: lashdeep at yahoo dot com Thanks, LS |

Also, some of you have asked about dress code. The University Club typically enforces a "business attire only" policy. Since this is on a Saturday, jeans are permitted...please use discretion. It's not the best venue to dig out your "Big Johnson" T Shirt from Myrtle Beach and flip flops. Thanks, LS |

Sounds great. I don't have enough time to put anything together for tickets, parking, etc. I am glad that Jason is handling this so far. I will try to put some good events together though...and we're off to a good start! LS |
