9pm Thursday the 24th Feb (tonight) on the Discovery Channel re:Connor Avenue Viper Plant. There is some footage of the VCA club at the National Convention in Salt Lake City too. Catch the Maserati Ultimate factory as well. Now that Viper is part of our "family" I figured some of you might like set your DVR to record the two shows. I know that Ed will want a copy since he has his DVR set to American Idol instead. 360 & TR Cars & Coffee at CITY DOCK ANNAPOLIS 9am-noon Every Sunday F-CHAT Exile now living the Ferrari Life. |

Interesting show. I watched it a few days ago. It's not how I expected. Many women are involved with the build and testing of the Viper. Also, weights are used in unconventional manners (500 lb. weight lowed onto hood to smooth out leather and fit. 200 lb. weights are lowered on each door to ensure hinges are well secured). Also, a woman drives each Viper into a rain tunnel and sits in the car with an LED flashlight inspecting key points for good seal, then she wipes the entire car down. Final inspection is done by a barehanded woman who "feels" every line of the car. A friend of mine loves his Viper. 360 Modena should post a photo of his license plate!

Buddy of mine has had his Viper re-engineered to produce 1500 hp. Not only was the motor thoroughly gone thru, the aerodynamics improved to the point of a special splitter for extra downforce. The owner took it to 223 mph before he was told to shut it down. And yet, having ridden in the car, it drives so normally, that you have no concept of the power that can be tapped. Rather remarkable vehicle. Its stored in a rather unique garage as well. regards ken |

| +1 I rode in and ACR Viper and can't begin to imagine that kind of HP. Clearly, that's over the top. I'd kill myself trying to find the upper limits. 360 & TR Cars & Coffee at CITY DOCK ANNAPOLIS 9am-noon Every Sunday F-CHAT Exile now living the Ferrari Life. |

Not to my tastes at all. Looks like a kid's Transformer toy and about to turn into a robot. |

I happen to like 2 valve pushrod motors and I think the Viper coupe is a beautifully styled car.... wide and low. Can't deny that its stupid fast too. I can only imagine the lesson in abject terror this thing must be with 1500 hp. Having said that, I'm not a fan of how it drives, rides or handles in stock form...
