Default Exotic Car Show for Non-Profit: Need Participants!!!

Hello all,

There is an exotic car show in Hersey, PA on April 30th that needs participants. I’m bringing my 2008 Viper and a few friends. It should be a great event. See you in the owners’ tent!!

Also if you're interested in cruising up to PA together in the morning, then just let me know. I'll pulling some other groups together for the drive up.

1st Annual Castaway Critters
“Cool Cars for Cats and Canines”
April 30, 2011 (10:00am-2:00pm)
Antique Auto Museum, Hershey

We are looking for owners of exotic cars to participate in our first Annual Exotic Car Show. Participants have the chance to showcase their cars, meet with other car enthusiasts, and compete for crowd voted favorites and win prizes. What is an “exotic” car by our definition? Most simply stated it is a car that has limited production, scarcity or has been personalized/created in an unusual way. It is generally not intended for a large market audience of buyers. If you see it on the road regularly, in parking lots, or a traffic jam, it is not an exotic car. Some examples of exotic cars are marques such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley, Lotus, Bugatti, McLaren, Maserati, etc. Time-honored supercars, such as Porsches and Corvettes, among others, are also welcome. We want YOU and your special car. Come join us for a day of car fun and you’ll be helping homeless animals in need.

Your $20 donation will include the following:
One car entry into the show
Entry into the “Owners Tent” (complimentary breakfast/lunch)
One entrance ticket to the Antique Auto Museum

Registrations will be accepted until April 10th, 2011.

Please Return Registration Form, along with your $20 donation to:
Castaway Critters
c/o Mary Sherrick
410 Market St
New Cumberland, PA 17070

For more info, see our website at Welcome to Castaway Critters, the James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation
Or call 717-919-0466

Default just sayin'

I have no affiliation with this event but your donation does include entrance to the AACA museum which is definitely worth visiting. I had the pleasure of photographing the museum over a 2 day period for Automobile Quarterly and they have a great collection of cars and motorcycles and memorabilia. You will need a good day to go thru the collection.

That alone would be worth the approximately 2 hour drive up.

regards

ken

Guys,
My wife is the chairman of Castaway Critters. This car show is a fundraiser for the organization. As Ken mentioned, the museum in itself is well worth the entrance fee. We are really hoping to get some of the exotic crew from the DC area to come up and attend. We need your cars. Not to mention this is for a very, very worthy cause. Please put it on your schedules.
Thanks,
Tom Clark

Wow, 74 views and no one interested? How about you Ed (wetpet). Sure would be nice to have a lambo there. Actually, we met at last year's Cavallino Classic.

Also, Sportscar Digest magazine is now covering the event. Remember guys, it's a super worthy cause, and your $20.00 donation gets you breakfast and lunch in the owners tent, as well as admission to the museum.

Is there a hotel nearby that is dog-friendly? Will dogs be allowed at the event?

BTW, Ed sold his Lambo.

Nice pics Ken - thanks for posting and promoting the event.

Hello 360Modena,
Actually, you have brought up a couple of good points. The first being pet friendly hotels. There are several right in Hershey, and quite a few more in Harrisburg (10 minutes). A great site to find out where is:Pet Friendly Hotels in Hershey, PA, US

As far as pets at the show, to be honest, you're the first person to have asked. We will check with the Museum tomorrow and find out what there policy is. With respect to animals in close proximity to the cars, well, you can imagine, IT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED!!!!

I will have more information tomorrow, and let you know. Thanks for the inquiry.

No I wasn't with the Westchester gang, it was just my wife and I. I ran into you inside the Breakers, I had recognized you from old pics of you in your various threads on the "other" site. Then you gave me the complete run down on the circumstances surrounding your departure with that site. I think I asked you if you had seen Bill Tracy, you steered me to him.

So what are you driving now?

Okay, the Museum says absolutely no problem with pets at the event (outside of course, not inside the museum). If someone wanted to bring their pet, they would not be permitted to bring it around the cars. A volunteer from "Castaway Critters" would handle the pet while the owner looks at the cars. Simple enough.

If you're going to bring a dog, you should probably bring a newspaper bag in order to collect the animals "donations".

Guys, here's an updated list showing cars that have registered. Last week we had 2 2011 599 GTO's, a 458 and an F40 register.

CoolCars

Please remember that this is for a very worthy cause. Even if you don't want to register and show your car, please consider attending. It looks like it will be an awesome gathering.
