I had Josh of ECS in Sterling, VA install the new mid-pipes on my blue 550. I already had Tubi tailpipes on the back and replacing the stock x-pipe in the middle with dual straight pipes from Bradan makes it sound great. Just the right amount of exhaust noise IMHO. And I get just a little burble & pop noises as I slow down. Removing the x-pipe changes the sound of the V12 for the better. Now there's no cross-over from one side of cylinders to the other. Bradan is doing some dyno testing but they think it might add a little power too. I had previously installed the street-version of the more modern Tubi tailpipes on the car about 2 years ago. The newer street Tubi's are more muffled than there older versions or the race version. With the stock x-pipe resonator, they were still a little too quiet for my tastes. See pictures of ECS and the install in this thread: ECS installs my new 550 exhaust |

Toggie, still have cats in place? Removing them would do wonders to weight, power, heat, noise... |

Toggie, if bring the car to the Holy Donut we'll record a YouTube video sound test with a few cars. Could be fun. BTW, I'll be at Richard's tomorrow morning getting some new P-Zero tire mounted and a wheel alignment. I might take a walk down to the airport and look around if I get bored. 360 & TR Cars & Coffee at CITY DOCK ANNAPOLIS 9am-noon Every Sunday F-CHAT Exile now living the Ferrari Life.

Yes, the cats are still mounted ahead of the mid-pipes. I still gotta pass Virginia emissions testing every 2 years down here. Here is a pic of the stock cats attached to the mid-pipes. The pic was taken from the front of the car looking toward the rear of the car (from underneath). Ron
