VIVA ITALIA Show - FAQs Sixth Annual VIVA ITALIA Concours D'Elegance Benefiting The Children's Guild Sunday, September 26, 2010 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rash Field at the Inner Harbor 601 Light St. | Baltimore http://www.viva-italia.org FAQ General Where can I park at the show? For VIP ticket holders, there will be limited parking on the Rusty Scupper parking lot. The general public is encouraged to park in area parking lots in and around Federal Hill or along the streets bordering Rash Field. You can also take the Water Taxi to the dock at the Rusty Scupper. How much does it cost to attend? The show is free for the public to attend. Donations are greatly appreciated. Car and motorcycle registration costs $75, which includes one vehicle space at the show and one VIP ticket. VIP tickets can be purchased separately (without vehicle registration) for $75 each. How can I register for the show or buy a VIP guest pass? You can register your vehicle for the show or buy VIP tickets online by visiting www.viva-italia.org and selecting the "register" button in the menu. You can also register by calling Berit Killingstad at 443-413-6020. No registration necessary for public attendance -- just come and enjoy the day. Are registrations refundable? Since VIVA ITALIA is a charity car show, benefiting The Children's Guild, registrations are non-refundable. Will I receive my VIP Pit Pass and/or registration materials before the show? You will receive all your VIP Pit Pass and registration materials at the event when you sign in on day of the show. Where do I pick up my VIP Pit Pass and/or registration materials? VIP's with show vehicles will pickup their Pit Passes at the registration desk nearest to the Science Center where they enter for the show. VIP's without show vehicles will pick up their passes at the registration desk by the Rusty Scupper. What happens if it rains on the day of the show? VIVA ITALIA: Concours D'Elegance is a rain or shine event. Are there attractions other than cars and motorcycles at the event? In addition to the up to 100 exhibiting cars plus motorcycles at the show, VIVA ITALIA offers the public live entertainment, vendors, and the opportunity to also enjoy the Trawler Fest boat show in the Inner Harbor ($15 for general public; free to VIP ticket holders) At the conclusion of the show, we will hold an awards ceremony for the car and motorcycle exhibitors. There will be a full slate of VIP activities for the car and motorcycle exhibitors and other VIP ticket holders. VIP ticket holders will enjoy a gourmet brunch with open bar at the Rusty Scupper, free access to Trawler Fest boat show and special gift bag. Is there access to public restrooms? There are sufficient public portable restroom facilities located on Rash Field. VIP Pit Pass holders have access to the restroom facilities at the Rusty Scupper. What kind of security will be present? There is a police substation at the Rusty Scupper. The field will be patrolled. Volunteers will be present to assist with traffic flow, answer questions, and ensure a smoothly run event. How do I get to the show? VIVA ITALIA: Concours D'Elegance is conveniently located on Rash Field in Federal Hill at Baltimore's inner Harbor. Car/Motorcycle Exhibitors When should I arrive with my vehicle? We request that car and motorcycle owners arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., preferably no later than 9 a.m. All cars must be in place by 10 a.m. and remain until 4 p.m. Plan on arriving early. There is a Ravens game this day and prior years have seen large public attendance before the game. How do I sign in my vehicle on the day of the show? You will receive all your VIP Pit Pass and registration materials at the event when you sign in on day of the show. VIP's with show vehicles will pick up their Pit Passes at the registration desk nearest to the Science Center where they enter for the show. Will it be possible to leave with my vehicle in the middle of the show? Due to safety reasons, all cars must stay in their place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Will there be parking access for my trailer? Because a limited number of spaces are available for trailer parking, we request you notify us in advance of the need for these accommodations. Please contact Chuck Leutner at 410-800-7043. We will issue you a special parking pass for trailer parking at the Ritz Carlton parking garage. Limited spaces available. Will my vehicle be judged? Judging will be informal People's Choice, rather than formal or Concours judging. There will be judging in a variety of categories. When will you present the awards? The awards presentation is scheduled to occur around 3:00 p.m. We will make announcements prior to the presentation to ensure you're present for the start of the ceremony. I wanted to thank everyone for supporting the Children's Guild VIVA Italia. I understand it is tough to bring the cars out in the bad morning weather.
