Funny article, and not surprising. German cars now have in excess of 30 separate computer modules, all of which maintain memory and draw some sort of current constantly. I know of Mercedes that are driven very regularly and have survived on the original battery for nearly 8 years. This is definitely a combination of complex engineering and driving habits. |
