Old Joke ...

A man bought a donkey from an old farmer for $100. The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day.

Come morning, the farmer drove up and said, Sorry - but I've got some bad news. The donkey died.

Well then, just give me my money back.

Can't do that. I spent it already - replied the farmer.

OK then - just unload the donkey.

What're you gonna do with him? asked the farmer.

I'm gonna raffle him off.

Ya can't raffle off a dead donkey! exclaimed the farmer.

Sure I can. Watch me - I just won't tell anyone he's dead.

A month later the farmer met up with the guy and asked about what happened with the dead donkey. I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at $2 apiece and made a profit of $898.

Didn't no one complain? asked the farmer.

Just the guy who won. So I gave him his $2 back.

Way, way back Car & Drivel said that driving a Morgan over a bumpy road should qualify the driver for flight pay.

They are everything that is vintage British. The 4-cylinders are agricultural motors (the V-8 are at least really an American design). A wood frame - we are talking real termite qualifying wood. A sliding pillar front suspension - look that archaic design up or next time ask me to explain it.

BUT any Morgan driver is OK. They have to be certifiable to own one and that qualifies them to hang out with everyone. Now the looney bin section are the trike Morgans. Watched one of those at a vintage race near Seattle - he was passed multiple times by everyone but probably had a better time that all of them combined.

Doug,

How open is the party? You want the Continental guys from Chicago to attend?

You and I need to talk about club issues too. You have not seen any of it but I have been in some interesting discussions about FCA chapter governance. Also want to go over the One Lap of North America. I have gotten deep into a series of National discussions and the Annual Meet.

Jeff

I know what it is well enough to know you don't want it on a "sports car"

Not very.

Screw Continental - they took two weeks to tell me they couldn't get my car in for 4 weeks after I sent them all my documents etc.

Those guys suck - almost cost me all my warranty work.

Luckily Lake Forest took excellent care of me.

I got so exhausted trying to communicate with the club and it's officers - pretty much on the same level as Continental.

You know Jeff ownership of exotics is supposed to be a reward and with entities like the two mentioned it's not working for me.

Ouch! I guess Continental won't be on your Christmas card list this year!

Continental is swamped - asking and trying to drum up more business when they can't handle what they have is just ridiculous.

It may not sound like a big deal but it's a lot of work to get all the paperwork on two cars and ready for service while working with FNA to have items covered.

Anyway - Chopper has two offers at 20 - want 22 which is just stupid but that's how I roll

Gotcha. Nuce to see they have a booning business, but i agree, you have to be anle to meet demand. For the Chopper, how about we split the difference? You want 22, the offers are for 20, just so happens I have $21.00 burning a hole in my back pocket, deal? I'll even throw in a car wash at waterway,
