I have no idea what current market is for a 959, I'll see if any went up for auction recently.

I think they are playing with the competition.

Look at Jim G's p4/5 - hardly any weight gain and huge performance.

Actually believe all the necessary technology is already there - gel.

Batteries are going to be what the old living room tube TV vs LED technology.

Lighter Longer Life and most of all cheap - may sound cray but the new cars are going to be 85% battery 15% combustion driven.

Further off topic - I was at a sewing machine motor factory - the new technology in windings which is a whole nutter 10 pages so I won't bore anyone.

The motor weighed 1/8 the weight and used 1/20th the electricity and had a 12 time longer life span.

Jim's car used mechanical (flywheel) KERS, not a battery system. much lighter technology.

it's going to be interesting to see the final specs on the 918. I think it will either be an albatross or an instant classic. God knows it looks amazing

btw the best numbers I can find for a 959 are ~$300k (low is $286k, high is $410k); but those numbers are up to 2 years old.

Where the hell did that silver CGT come from?!?!?

In other news, I qualified for the US Junior Rowing National Championship this weekend! Got bronze in both the 8 and 4, and we are most likely taking the 8 this year. I am quite excited. Best our club has ever done, with almost 35 rowers qualifying for Nationals.

In other other news, nearly was killed this morning on 40...I was so damn lucky. I had just passed Kingshighway going east and had just started switching out of the fast lane in time for a blue Ford Focus to crash into and HOP the median on the other side, sliding sideways with half of the car hanging into my lane. It then bounced back into its own side of the highway and spun back, resting on the median. If I wouldn't have been changing lanes, that car would have been in my windshield. I still have no idea how the car came to be sliding on top of the median, I only had enough time to react and swerve away from it. Scariest moment of my life thus far.

holy shit!

I've seen that happen before, it will scare the hell out of you. fortunately I was nowhere close to the "impact zone" when I saw it.

Scary! Glad you're alright though. And congrats!

The CGT may be the ex - Robert Morriss car, he used to have one back when he could afford it.

Here is what JG wrote

***

"Our system has more storage capacity than F1 and it's output is higher. It's a Magnetti Marelli system that is new and will eventually be used on the street. It's similar to the systems that the 918, New F1 McLaren and New Enzo will use,"

***

The problem is the charging system and knowing what is available vs short boosts for passing etc. Which is why I think the battery technology has to become top notch.
The idea of the 918 achieving 75 mpg has to be in part battery driven.

Storage is key and how it builds to capacity - the whole thing is something that I think is cutting edge but in some ways it's very basic once you figure out how to store.

Ryan's probably still there - can't blame him, I hear the tuna at those places is amazing.

When I open mine up Chas, that's gonna be its name: eggs and legs, we're going to offer the best continental breakfast east of the Ritz,

Rolls Silver Seraph at Ladue and 270 earlier

Thanks guys. I enjoy how this conversation has taken a turn haha. I was not in East STL...

Was the CGT there as a dealer display or a personal vehicle?

Also saw a red Grancabrio on Olive near Faust Park today.

I think it was a private owner, but I don't remember what the placard said.

LOL!!!

Speaking of which - lingerie football is looking for a place to hold their venue.

I can't imagine what city is going to give them zoning.

I thought they had the family arena already lined up? Being their biggest fan, I will help them find a home wherever,

Finally ended that losing streak last night. Let's hope the Cards win this homestand and get back into a more comfortable lead in the Central.
The point of the post: there was a different (white) Ghost in the players lot last night.

[QUOTE=GuyIncognito;196765]Holtzman Manor is pretty big....

haha

Scott - they can't get zoning approval.

Pretty sure there isn't a zoning code that states.

Place of assembly sporting event with women in bikini's playing football.

Getting a change in zoning for a non listed use is the most screwed up experience of a lifetime.

In this case - the only way to get zoning is to buy it and the board of approval - literally.
